Introduction: I suppose only my customers can really answer that question, but I believe although my Lighting Design and Color use, are always harmonious, and as a result stand out, it has more to do with the very individual and detailed, service I offer. I make it my job to understand what each client wants and why they are different from everyone else. After all, "No two home owners are the same, so why should thier homes be?" At B Designs, we ask the question; "Does your home look like you?" I love the challenge of finding just the right solution and knowing every Design and home owner is different. My job may be challenging at times, but It is NEVER Boring!

I hired B Designs to manage the reconstruction/remodel of my home after Tropical Storm Irene, damaged my home and it was condemned. The insurance company gave me a set $ amount and it was up to her to get the job done. She managed to not only rebuild my entire roof/attic and the water damage, she also reconfigured the bathroom, to make better use of the space and modernize it, and make it a show place, that made it into the local paper! Maria is talented, and brilliant!

Had a 1/2 bath/laundry room turned into a shower bathroom. Maria B. contacted me within 24 hours of Thumbtack contact request! We met 24 hrs later and the design materials and contractor she recommended (I asked to use a contractor she trust) showed up ready for work in a week! The design is very classic and the materials she recommended are all very high end at a reasonable cost. I got lots of praises for the first floor bathroom!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$250 for an in depth consultation $75 an hour if retained Paint colors or specifications, $500
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with an independent consultation in the clients home. I like to go room by room and ask questions about the decor and belongings. What does the customer like and no like? What needs to stay? Etc. how long do they plan on living there? What is the end goal? I also offer my ideas and make suggestions about layout, colors and lighting. Sometimes clutter can be a problem too. Other times it can be as simple as paint and re arranging items.
