- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The prices vary depending on materials. We charge per roll, sqft or per sq yard all depending on the material. Murals, rolls, fabric ect are all priced differently and accordingly
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Make them feel comfortable. Make sure the time I’m able to work till. Explain the process to them, make them feel their opinions matter and feel involved, ask them where they want the pattern to start and end as well as what they want to be the main focus of the paper (the part of the pattern shown at eye level and in the center of the wall) if they want to be involved. A lot of customers just ask me what’s best and don’t want to be involved but it’s important to me to make customers know they have a say.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was trained by an “old timer” (retired from the union but still works privately ) with almost 40 years experience for 3 years before joining the union myself, DC9 Local 490, where I attended school for 4 years as well as more on the job experience, leaving the union and starting my own company in 2020. The 3 years with the “old timer” taught me more than the whole time with the union.
