FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a sliding scale of $75–$150 per session to make training more accessible. Most clients pay somewhere in the middle or higher end of the range, and I ask that you choose a rate that feels sustainable for you while also supporting my work. Discounted packages are available for clients continuing with multiple sessions. All training is one-on-one, customized to your dog and your goals, and there are no hidden fees. Travel within the Ithaca area is included.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by learning about your dog, your goals, and what you’re currently struggling with. From there, we schedule an initial session where I assess your dog’s behavior and begin training right away. You’ll learn practical skills you can start using immediately. After that, I create a customized training plan based on your dog and your lifestyle. Most clients continue with a series of sessions to build reliable, real-world behavior. Between sessions, I provide guidance on what to practice so you and your dog keep making progress. My goal is not just to train your dog, but to give you the tools and confidence to handle things on your own.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed my professional dog training certification through Animal Behavior College and have extensive hands-on experience working with dogs of all ages, breeds, and behavior needs. I previously worked as a trainer at Urban K-9 in Brooklyn and have over 10 years of experience through my company, Woofs & Wags, where I’ve worked with hundreds of dogs and their owners. My training focuses on positive reinforcement, clear communication, and building reliable behavior in real-life environments. I’m committed to ongoing learning and continue to develop my approach through experience and continued education in dog behavior and training.
