We recently hired Ian and his team at Detailed Renovations and Construction to convert our unfinished basement into a full 2-bedroom apartment, and the results are nothing short of spectacular. From the initial consultation, Ian stood out for his transparency and vision. Our basement had challenges like plumbing and ceiling height but their team handled every issue with technical expertise. Ian and his team - Nigel, Harry and the whole team did my basement renovation from scratch. They did an amazing job. They went above and beyond. They are truly the best in the island. Ian is a good and trustable person. It was a pleasure working with him.

So I contacted Detaied Renovatins & Construction as a recommendation from my best friend and seeing the work that Ian and his team did. What started as just wanting my basement to be organized turned into an office space that I absolutely LOVE! From the beginning; Ian took my ideas and expanded them ten-fold, never pushing his ideas but always showing me what makes sense financially and made use of the space. The day that the work was set to began, they came in at 7, and moved so quickly to get my basement emptied out, it was smooth as silk; I was in total awe, I really was. By the time I came home that night, they had the frame up and I already started to see what was gonna happen. every night I cam home and so much progress was made and I couldn't wait to see the end result. The downside to them is that they are expensive, but Ian does work with you in terms of payment. Also they are very messy, the time came to putting up the walls, the dust from the sanding was everywhere; splatter from the paint (which was done beautifully btw) happened to be in multiple places. So there was extra clean up every weekend. Obviously there were extra cost for little touches that I wanted, like the glass in the bar. All in all I would hire them again for any home project, in all honesty if I could have them rebuild other parts of my house I definitely would.
