Wow! Ozeas has done a wonderful job remodeling our bathroom over the past two weeks. As you can see from the list below, there was a considerable amount of demolition and renovation involved. Ozeas arrived early each morning and worked all day. We witnessed his meticulousness and appreciated suggestions made to make our bathroom even more beautiful and functional than we even imagined. Initially, we were reluctant to hire someone from a website, but we checked out his youtube videos and other reviews and felt a little more comfortable, though still cautious. As the job progressed, family and friends stopped by to check out his progress. We can’t praise his work enough and neither can they! One neighbor has already talked to him about some jobs he’d like to get done at his house. We wholeheartedly recommend Ozeas Lannes. We plan to have him come back to work on other projects around the house because we know we can count on him to do a professional job. The pride he takes in his work was evident each day in his attitude, as well as in the finished product. He totally lives up to his quote- “Everything we do, we have to do very good and beautiful” Ozeas Lannes Bathroom Remodel • Removed all materials currently in bathroom Including toilet, sink, tub, tiles, shower etc. • Disposed of all waste materials • Replaced and/repaired walls, floor, plumbing and window prior to new installation • Installed all fixtures including (plumbing and electrical where appropriate) cast iron shower pan and drain window in shower tile in shower and outside shower *built custom shelving in shower glass shower door tile on bathroom floor sink and vanity toilet towel bars and hooks lighting fixtures • moved wall • installed pocket door • built custom shelving • painted walls Thank you!
We have found all sorts of things for Brian to do, and some have turned into bigger jobs then we had originally though, and he has continued to work on them; for instance, keeping water from pouring in side door. He has patched a hole in our sheetrock and re-hung a stair railing, he give plenty of notice when he is coming and going and is always on time. He keeps his worksite very clean and keeps his eye on the dog, we are very pleased.
Johnny was a pleasure to work with - from fair initial quote (which he held to), to scheduling, to his initial walk-through and then, of course, with the work itself. He cut wood to create shelves, replaced a number of light fixtures and adapted a few fixtures with ingenuity, hung window and bath hardware, an Ikea ceiling-mount channel thing, and - entirely outside of our original scope, diagnosed and rented the tool for removing an awful heavy iron door grill/gate. He was smart, knowledgeable, thoughtful, thrifty, accommodated changes...The real deal. Would/will hire again.
Matthew gets 5 stars for being all 5 of those things. Within less than a day and a half of posting my project, he sent an estimate, picked up my repair, did the job and delivered it back to my apt in downtown NYC - beautifully welder. It's a wrought iron headboard with 6 thin vertical bars that had broken off from the frame. He did a great job. I highly recommend him. Great website too.
Adam is skilled in multiple facets of the industry. He himself can accomplish much and has good workers when he needs assistance. He has woked on carpentry to roofing to framing.. You name it and he will do it or find a way to get it done!
We needed a total bathroom renovation and fast! Irving and his crew from Jerry & Carr were the first to respond on thumbtack, showing up that day to give us a fair and affordable estimate. They started a couple days later and did an a beautiful job. The bathroom looks amazing! They were quick, thorough and didn't leave a mess like most contractors. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish! I HIGHLY recommend them!
Bruce was terrific! He was efficient from the beginning... very organized and called and returned messages throughout. Bruce and his team were all very professional and well-skilled. He completed a small storage project in the eaves of my coastal home in Middletown, adding rail and stile doors with hidden hinges that now look like beautiful wainscot paneling. He did this project when other contractors didn't seem interested or seemed perplexed by the details. Bruce did this small project for me without hesitation, even though he certainly seemed to be busy with an abundance of projects overall. He easily accepted my small project, and came out to look at the potential project area. He easily offered up ideas on an approach and in short order, he and his team returned... with most of the work done in his shop so as not to create a workshop at my place; I couldn't believe it. The team worked, and completed the project in a very short period of time- just amazing! *They did an outstanding job. I absolutely look forward to working with Bruce in the future!
Anthony called me back right away and came out to few the floor as soon as we were available. He is very professional and knowledgeable and we felt very comfortable with him. We had been talking to a few local contractors but Anthony was the best fit for us. The flooring project was completed in a little over a week due to my wife and I having to reschedule. Will definitely use his company again!
The work consisted of welding a new lock piece onto a broken gate; priming and painting a wrought iron fence and repairing broken cement. The work was professionally done in a timely manner. Luca was rehired to do additional outside wrought iron painting. He is reliable, responsible and skilled.
Alex Cunha installed our Fiberon railing system to our new flagstone steps. He was excellent and careful. Alex is dependable and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend him for carpentry work. He seems knowledgeable in all sorts of tiling as well.
The project was to remove and replace 6 sidewalk slabs, remove tree roots,
3rd Rail Studio put together a steel project for me and the quality of work was above and beyond what I hoped for. The attention to detail really showed & hiring them was worth every penny.
We contracted for HR Group to install wood hand railing on a cable railing project. Our original wood installer was unavailable for the install. We were in scramble mode and made a request on an internet site HR Group was listed on. Within a few minutes of our request, Rommel was calling us. We came to an agreement on terms and Rommel was on the job a few days later. They are easy to get in touch with and communication was outstanding on Rommel's behalf. Our client was very pleased with the results of the cable railing project. We plan to use Rommel again on our next project in Northern New Jersey. Highly recommend.
Did two small welds for me on fence gates, one aluminum and one wrought iron. Very helpful and accommodating, showed up on time, and did a nice job at a reasonable price. Could not have asked for more.
Olman is a top notch carpenter that does quality work and most importantly, very responsible. I've used his services on many projects which include: wood beam installation/repairs, interior framing of walls, wood trim/mouldings, cabinet installation, custom millwork, wood flooring, and even tile! If you are looking for QUALITY... look no further
T.S.I. contractors installed new flooring in my basement. The owner Wade Thomas guaranteed my floor would look like new, and he was right. The new tile in my laundry room gives me much more pride when company comes over.
Danny Rummo and his team from Constructive Design, Inc. have done extensive renovations for me and I would recommend him to anyone. He has re-plastered several rooms resulting in beautifully finished walls. He has replaced interior and exterior doors, all of our windows, window wells, siding, shutters, and roofing and some underlying wood that he discovered was rotting. He also installed all the finishing touches, including custom window trim to match existing woodwork (none that was ready made was an exact match, so he fabricated it himself). He also prepped my stairway and oversaw the choosing and installation of beautiful new stair railings and ballusters. He is honest, thorough, neat, creative and fair, with a great eye for design and he pays full attention to minute details. He is great at keeping the homeowner informed of what he has done, what still needs to be done and how and when he will do it. His prices are fair and he always explains how he calculated the price he quotes. He is a great contractor to work with.
I was extremely impressed with Roman and his company. Long-term stressful circumstances and everything needing to be timed to the minute left me with a small margin for error on my part, the movers, the scrap metal guy, Salvation Army, etc. Roman and Joseph showed up exactly at 11 as promised. Roman immediately took calm control of everything by suggesting a walk through. Then he said "Let's get started!" And he and Joseph briskly and efficiently emptied my house and packed the truck. Several times I had questions. Each time Roman smiled, answered and communicated in manner and words "Everything's under control. No problem." Even Joseph looked at me kindly and said "Don't worry. We'll take care of everything." I have no car so I rode to my new place with them. By the time we got there, I was so relaxed, I was laughing. And just as efficiently, they unloaded the truck up some very steep stairs, keeping their smiles the entire time. I bought them lunch: I was very grateful not only for their efficiency and capability, but for the de-stressing factor they added to my life simply by being my movers. Historically I move frequently, and so I definitely count Roman and his people as my MFL (Movers For Life). Added note is that he was the GM for Two Men and a Truck for 10 years prior to starting his own business 4 years ago with his own capital, growing a bit at a time. Ive worked with people my entire life; what I do depends on my ability to accurately asses a person, who they are, and what theyre about. I heard Roman handle several client calls for upcoming moves very professionally with the same assurance that left me knowing I was hiring the right guys. Roman is conscientious, sharp, and focused on building a strong and ethical business dedicated to helping people have peace of mind during their move. Im definitely using him again if he agrees to, knowing hell have to deal with those stairs again when I move out!
I own a landmark brownstone in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. Adam Silver has done work for me at various times during the past several months. His work is excellent. He has restored and repaired the iron work on the window gates, fence and bannister in the front of my house and completely renovated the ground-level vestibule. He made improvements that other contractors said they could not do, i.e. he was able to take off the heavy layer of cement that had covered the ceiling and walls of the vestibule exposing the original brick and blue stone. He also took off the cement on the side of the staircase exposing the original brick, cemented the crawl space, and expertly sanded and painted the inner door and frame. Oh, what a difference! I couldn't be happier. Adam is not only affordable but he is a perfectionist about his work, always responsible wanting to please and very easy to deal with. I would highly recommend Silverworks.

Bill was a true find for us! We hired him to do a railing and bannister remodel/repair for our colonial home. He was an excellent communicator, asked us how we wanted it to look, and completed the job in a day. He stained the wood EXCELLENTLY to meet our goals, and was a pleasure to talk with the entire time. He did a great job, was very professional, and his work is quality. He made us feel at ease hiring him to do the job, and I would recommend him to ANYONE needing some carpentry work!
I have used Caro Construction for four major projects now, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them for all of my future jobs. This is a brief outline of some of his work for me personally from 2011 to present: 1. Apartment conversion: I had need of carpentry services to remodel and convert a large apartment I own into two smaller units. This required putting up walls, creating a new entryway and hanging doors, planning and installing a kitchen, and remodeling a bathroom. 2. Kitchen gut/remodel: This job was instigated by a water leak and an insurance claim, but we had the kitchen gutted to the studs and joists from the ceiling down. Mr. Caro worked in tandem with my insurance adjuster to handle the job on my behalf before I arrived in person to see the final result. He was very professional and the results were fantastic and economical. 3. Frozen pipe insurance claim: I had a hot water baseboard heating pipe in the wall burst in the middle of winter in one unit of a 4 unit apartment building. Mr. Caro once again worked in tandem with my insurance company to make repairs to the affected second story unit as well as the unit immediately below. This repair required subcontracting for plumbing repairs and flooring replacement, tearing out and replacing walls, insulation, and a ceiling. The job was done very quickly and very well, and when part of the insurance claim became an issue (some materials were not replaceable due to age - ceiling tiles from 1960) he worked with me to creatively and economically resolve the situation. 4. Replace front entryway stairs and porch repair: The entry to my 4 unit apartment building had stairs that were not mounted correctly below the frost line and they moved and rotted as a result. He tore the stairs off, leveled the entire structure, made some minor repairs replacing some floor boards and all rails, and built a new, level, much better staircase. 5. Many miscellaneous repairs and interior remodeling and finish work: over the years of getting great service from Caro Carpentry, I came to depend on him for all my maintenance and repairs for both my house and my 4 unit apartment building. I have found him to have excellent communication skills, accurate bids, and hes very honest and pleasant to deal with. He was very professional in his dealings with me, with other contractors he brought in for specific stages of the work in progress, and gave frequent progress reports as well as communicating the next steps during the entire process. I was very pleased with the end results of all my projects. The quality of his subcontractors was also such that I have used several of them several times for other jobs, as well.
