They did an outstanding job with my fall cleanup. Gardens thoroughly cleaned, bushes cut down and plants cut down. All leaves removed and they edged the gardens and cut the lawn. Very satisfied.

When Tony came to give me an estimate originally he was extremely easy to deal with and very pleasant. He was honest and answered all the questions I asked. He asked me what I wanted in my garden and I told him as such and he replied in few days with a drawn up sketch of my garden. Along with that he had a picture image which he did note wasn't a very "too scale" picture. The drawing was on grid and to scale. He was quick to do the work. I will be looking forward to him doing the small area I have around porch in backyard.

Tyler is a very knowledgeable landscaper who is easy to work with and very personable. I know next to nothing about gardening and he has been patient and extremely helpful. I am very thankful to have found him and I recommend him for novice and experts alike!

I have five beds that needed to be mulched and new borders installed. Lots of weeding and cleanup too. Gina and her crew from 121 Groundskeeping did a fantastic job at a very competitive price. Gina made suggestions that saved me $$ by using my existing borders and resetting them. I can't say enough good things about them. Great price, prompt, cleaned up everything. I'm thrilled. I'll never shop for a landscaper again. Thank you, Thumbtack and 121.

JT's made it easy getting lawn service and gardening last year. I called, they were there the same day to write it up, and showed up the next day for my 1st cut (horribly overgrown and their salesman promised they would get there right away and they did!).

The best I could ask for. They did a slate walkway and mulching for me and it was reasonably priced and completed in a timely fashion. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone. Nick is a great guy with a hard work ethic.

I needed someone to to take care of my lawn considering I work long hours. Almost 7 days a week, so I called Sliszerd Services! What I liked about this service is they came and did a really good job from cutting the lawn, to gardening, painting, snow removal, power washing the house/sidewalk, even a house clean out for my friend, always cleans up after, a very fair price and everything else they have done is three thumbs up in my book! Especially for just starting out! Also I would like to include they are very friendly/polite people. I have never had a problem. Thank you Sliszerd Services! Your service has been a huge help in my life and the look of my home!

Danyar has been helping me with landscaping jobs for the past few years. I have many trees and bushes around my home and he has helped keep them healthy and looking great. I also transformed a large section of my backyard into a garden and Danyar hasspent countless hours hauling dirt, compost, and mulch to get everything in its proper place. I highly recommend this young man for any task.

Great work at an even greater price!! I had multiple trees removed and my garden done all for a fraction of the cost of the other estimates I received. Looks better than I could have ever imagined. Already recommended them to multiple people and they have got great service too.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to have landscaping done?

Professional landscaping can help reinvent your outdoor space, boost your curb appeal and get a major return on investment with. Landscaping can encompass anything from adding new plants, trees and shrubs, to leveling the ground and laying sod for a lawn, to building in hardscaping such as sidewalks, water features or retaining walls. The national average landscaping price is $10,160. Landscaping prices can be far lower (with hourly rates ranging from $50 to $150) if you’re only seeking professional help with softscaping or seeking consultation on landscape design. Softscaping means adding or changing horticultural elements, such as planting a garden or adding a hedge. Hardscaping is where costs can really start to rise. Hardscaping requires labor and heavy equipment to excavate the earth; you may need to pour concrete, or you may need a pro who can transport and place gravel and other inorganic elements. Your total landscaping cost will vary based on the amount of work you want done, how much labor is required, and the cost of the materials you are using. A good rule of thumb for a major landscaping project, according to the American Society of Landscape Architects, is to budget 5 percent to 10 percent of the value of your home.

How much does it cost to landscape your front yard?

Prices for landscaping your front yard can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on the scale of your front yard project. Your landscaping price will reflect how much change you implement, how much labor is required, and the cost of materials.

Landscaping is typically made up of softscaping and hardscaping. Softscaping refers to selecting trees, bushes, flowers and plants to achieve a desired aesthetic and to meet goals such as having a drought-tolerant yard. Hardscaping refers to moving earth, installing structures, and putting in decorative stonework, sidewalks or lighting. For softscaping, you may want to hire a landscape designer to consult on your plants and layout, and then do the digging and planting yourself or hire a gardner to handle the heavy lifting. A landscape designer’s hourly rate may range from $50 to $150 or more. If you want a turnkey approach, meaning someone who works with you to create the vision and then executes all the work, landscaping pricing will typically come down to a cost per square foot rather than an hourly rate. It’s a solid investment: Great landscaping can add up to 28 percent value to your home.
