FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Far architecture is a full-service architecture firm. We go "Far" beyond client expectations offering boutique floor plans, renovations, and new builds. Our pricing reflects attention to our client, detailed drawings, and continuous communication. Projects start at 8% of construction for small to medium builds and up to 15% for larger, full service projects (MEP and Structural included). Let's speak in person about your needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I started this practice, because I really enjoyed working with owner / clients. Getting to know your property, lifestyle, and design preferences is important to me. During the initial schematic design phase, we will have weekly or biweekly meetings, preferably in person to review the design process and receive needed feedback. Once the design is settled, move towards monthly meetings during the construction process that said, I am always available for a call if you have any questions or concerns, or just want to know how the project is going.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters in architecture from North Carolina State University and bachelors degree in industrial design. I have worked for some of the largest firms in the country here in New York City, and some of the best, small boutique firms. Architects go through and less training and testing to become licensed, only doctors have a comparable curriculum and testing experience.
