FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer up-front pricing. What that means is that I make sure that we have all of the requirements, and I quote based on those requirements. Once I know what I'm working on for you, I am able to give you an exact quote. The benefits is that you're not paying me hourly, where overages are very possible, and very likely. You do not have to track my hours. Whether it is a 100 hour project, or 1000 hour project, you know exactly what you'll be paying for it. I guarantee all of my work as well, so any bugs, or fixes are handled free of charge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We first gather the necessary requirements. I find that most clients have a high-level view of what they want, but for development to start, we have to get down to the very finite details. I take the time to work with you on feature and the functionality you're looking for, which I break down into technical requirements. As a software architect, I identify the right platform(s) for your project and put together a design. We review everything, including the price, and I get approval to proceed. After that I keep you in the loop, as work progresses. Once done, the work goes through a user acceptance process, where you review the work and provide feedback, followed by a release to your production environment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 25+ years in the IT industry, and have worked for companies such as PepsiCo, Rutgers University, Intel Corporation, and many small and mid-sized businesses in the educational, financial, and consumer industries. I stay sharp and up-to-date on my skillset through certifications. I currently hold over 21 certifications, including: * CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+, and Project+, CTT (Certified Technical Trainer) certifications. * Microsoft MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer), MTC (Microsoft Certified Trainer), MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), and several others. * Oracle Java Programmer * Scrum Alliance Certified ScrumMaster I am also currently working towards a Master of Science in Cyber Security and Data Assurance.
