With that said, I had been plucking on the guitar for around 10 years and had been working on some pretty complex songs. The results are that I could play some cool stuff really poorly (I remember trying to play the theme from Pirates of the Caribbean and someone thinking I was playing Flamenco). Austin was able to meet me where I was at. He spent time walking me through music theory, how to use a metronome and what different rhythms should sound like.
