FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $125/hour, with a 2-hour minimum. I also offer project-based packages for larger projects where you want a clear budget and a set amount of decluttering time. My goal is to make the process as straightforward as possible—no mystery pricing and no pressure to buy a bunch of organizing products you don't need. We’ll actually work with what you already have first or figure out what your space needs. If your project requires shopping, donation drop-offs, disposal, or other services beyond decluttering/organizing, we’ll discuss those details and any additional costs upfront. For larger projects, I’m happy to create a package that gives you a clear plan, timeline, and budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we talk. We'll have a quick consultation either virtual or in-person to go over your muddle, what's bothering you most, what you want to accomplish, and what kind of help you need. Additional photos or a video walkthrough can also be helpful for reference. After that, we make a plan and set a date for your first de-muddling session. The day of, we get to work immediately, depending on the size of the project I usually like to execute the job the same day. We enter the space and start sorting and making quick decisions together, and once we’ve covered everything that needs to be donated, tossed or kept you get a well-deserved break while I organize everything back into your space. And yes, I’m going to challenge you, when necessary, but I’m more like your honest bestie that you total need. But there’s no judgment here. The point is to keep you moving, make the process easier, and help you get to the finish line as efficiently as possible. The goal is to not only get rid of the muddle and give you an organized space, but it’s to help you remove your anxiety of de-cluttering, giving you the tips and tricks to keeping your space organized and the confidence to tackle the smaller tasks yourself.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
By trade I’m a Graphic Designer and marketing professional with more than 15 years of experience in creative, project management, and production environments, where organization, problem-solving, deadlines, and managing a lot of moving pieces are part of the job. I also was a Design Consultant at California Closets New York for 2 years where I worked with clients to either design a more functional office/living space, custom shelving for garages or to build their dream walk-in closet. What I bring with Minus the Muddle is a combination of strategy, efficiency, creativity, and a very practical approach to getting things done. I also bring a lot of laughs, hand holding, high fives and at least one big hug, my aim is to bring the energy and fun so the work goes by faster.
