FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Kaos Computing, I believe in transparent and fair pricing. Every repair starts with a proper diagnosis so you know exactly what the issue is and what it will cost before any work begins. Typical repair ranges are: • iPhone repairs: starting around $120 depending on model and part quality • MacBook / laptop screen repairs: typically $250–$450 depending on the model • Game console repairs (PS5 HDMI, etc.): varies depending on the issue • Data recovery and liquid damage repair: priced after diagnosis There are no hidden fees, and you’ll always get an exact quote before the repair is performed. In many cases, my pricing is significantly lower than Apple or manufacturer repair costs, while still using high-quality parts and professional repair techniques. If a device is not worth repairing, I will tell you honestly before you spend money. 📍 Repairs available at 401 Park Ave, Brooklyn and 2374 Nostrand Ave (inside Morning Grace Café).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most repairs start with a quick message or call where I ask for the device model and a description of the issue. This helps me determine the likely repair and give you a rough estimate and timeline before you even come in. If the repair makes sense, we schedule a time for you to drop off the device at one of my locations: 📍 401 Park Ave, Brooklyn, NY 📍 2374 Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn, NY (inside Morning Grace Café) When the device arrives, I perform a proper diagnostic to confirm the issue. Once the problem is verified, I contact you with the exact repair cost and turnaround time before any work is done. Most repairs are completed same-day or next-day depending on the device and part availability. After the repair is finished, the device is tested thoroughly to make sure everything is working correctly before pickup. My goal is simple: honest diagnostics, clear communication, and reliable repairs done right the first time.
