Unprofessional and dishonest. They lied to me for no reason. I understand that the contractors' schedule can change and we had no binding contract other than a quote, it's not like I must have the job done with them and would be mad at them if they had to cancel my project due to scheduling conflict. But instead of telling me that they are all booked out, they said that they had to void my project because my building's coi requirement is too strict. It is after I spent the whole day negotiating with my building on getting some flexibility, they admitted to me that they cancelled my project because they no longer have time, not because of the coi. The person who contacted me and gave me the quote is not the carpenter I thought he was, in fact he's an "HVAC associate". Such a waste of my time.
