Introduction: Robert Taylor Jr. is an American entertainer whose goal is to inspire and spread love and peace to people of all ages through music and dance. Robert was born and raised in Coney Island. Since childhood he had always loved any aspect of music and dance (vocally and physically.) Some of Robert's past credits include the following national TV shows: * American Idol season 3 (as a singer) * So You Think You Can Dance season 2 in 2006 (as a dancer) * MTV's Say What? Karaoke (as a singer who won 2 shows and made it to the finals in 2003 and 2007) * MTV's VMA with Shakira * Kat Deluna's Whine Up music video (as a dancer in 2007) * National tour of "Hairspray" (as a singer, dancer and actor in 2008) In 2007, Robert released his first solo CD entitled "Cloud 9" which is available on iTunes and CD Baby. Robert has graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a B.A. in dance and a minor in musical theatre, which required him to take acting, theatre, and dance classes (which consists of such dance styles as Graham, Horton, and the Limon technique.) Robert was required to do musicals in school as well. Some of those musicals are "New Girl In Town" and "The Boyfriend" in 1998-2002, where he performed as a singer, dancer and actor. Robert has performed for the late King Of Pop, Michael Jackson, in 2002 at Webster Hall (NY) for Michael's protest party. The group that Robert performed with was called 'Uneti', which consisted of 5 group members who sing and dance. Shortly after, Robert began training with hip-hop with the Amountboyz (Ant Boogie and A Dubz) who have performed for Mario, 3LW, P.Diddy, Keisha Cole, and Madonna, just to name a few. After training with the Amountboyz (studying the styles of choreography as well as the elements of hip-hop), Robert performed with them as an honorary member of the group. Then, Robert began training with Jared Grimes (who is currently teaching at BDC now as an instructor). Jared has selected Robert to be a part of the Broadway Underground company. Robert has also been trained within the elements of hip-hop and choreography by Bam, Brian Green, and Spex. Robert then branched off to train and perform with Jamie Jackson, gaining knowledge of how to extend body movement with musicality by using a series of grooves. Robert has also trained with Future, gaining different dimensions and basics of how to wave and with Ephrat Asherie (a.k.a. "Bounce"), learning the basics and foundation of breaking. Currently, Robert was selected as a choreographer to perform at "Carnival", which is the most prestigious dance show in NY and L.A. for emerging choreographers and/or entertainers. Robert had just won a music showcase 4 months ago, and this made him a 5-time NYC underground music industry's showcase winner as an R&B entertainer. These shows are (2006-present): * Faces In The Crowd (twice) * Mental Supreme (training camp showcase) * Roc The Mic hosted by Monse from Hot 97 * Protege Magazine by Rham Robinson
