- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start assessing the student's English level from our very first meeting. I ask them several questions - how they use English, what they believe are their weak points, how much are they exposed to English, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Besides having a TESOL certification, I also worked in big companies in New York for many years so I am very familiar with American business culture. In addition, I have been to many countries and love meeting people from all over the world. I believe this makes me culturally sensitive and comfortable with diversity.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After losing my job due to the American economy melt down in 2009, I decided to get an ESL certification as I have always enjoyed international issues/culture, etc, like the English language and am very friendly and social.
