"Where words leave off, music begins." — Heinrich Heine
Currently accepting new students! In-person lessons are available in Manhattan near Penn Station, in-home (approx. 20-30 min from Penn Station), and virtually via Zoom. Hybrid options (a mix of in-person & virtual) are also possible
As a professional flutist and graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music, I offer my students valuable insights into playful music making! Each lesson teaches the student how to improve their technique — often resulting in increased enjoyment and less struggle. My top priority is to guide students towards a deep understanding of music and instrumental technique.
I work with students of all ages, abilities, and levels - adults and professionals are also welcome! Since founding my flute studio in 2012, I have been dedicated to teaching a playful curriculum that allows students to confidently explore the flute. It is amazing to guide students towards an ever increasing sense of musical fluency.
Tuition for the 2026-2027 season:
I offer a sliding scale of $75-85 for 45 minutes and $85-105 for 60 minutes based upon the budget of each family. The rate is same for in-home instruction (includes approx. 20-30 minute commute from Penn Station) and in-studio reservations in midtown near Penn Station.
I no longer offer 30 minute lessons as I’ve learned in my 15 year career that students of all ages and levels strongly benefit from weekly ear training and guided practice instruction. I also fold basic piano literacy into my curriculum to help support the development of overall musicianship. These goals are all achieved when the lessons have time for appropriate pacing based upon the student’s disposition and learning style.
In our initial consultation (via Zoom or phone call), let's meet briefly to discuss any goals and general objectives. We will also discuss my teaching philosophy, studio policies, tuition costs, and mutual availabilities for our first session.
Each prospective student also has the option to add a complimentary 15-minutes onto our introductory lesson
You're welcome to reach out to me via Thumbtack or my website for more information -- I look forward to speaking with you soon!
