Our service is delivered by Baptiste, a native French tutor who graduated as a French as a second language teacher in 2007 and whose services have been appreciated in European and American cities where he worked in schools, language centers and privately.
We offer four methods to suit your whims, from the basics of grammar to conversations on subjects of your choice. All levels of proficiency are met with contemporary pedagogics that elicit a genuine eagerness to learn French.
Our mission is to transform the way you think about languages in general, and French in particular. The desire to communicate is paramount to learning a language, therefore the methods used are centered around building report. Unless you are looking for task-specific tutoring, such as passing a college French exam, you will most likely follow a classical curriculum and learn the skills to pass DELF exams or other certifications of French-language abilities. However, the discussions and tasks will revolve around subject matters that you've showed interest for, and Baptiste always provides fresh and engaging material pertaining to those topics.

I'm taking lessons with Baptiste twice a week, and love them! My college degree is in another language so I know what it is like to learn a language, and learn it in a class setting. I am learning so much faster 1:1, and Baptiste explains everything so well: The grammar, rules and roots, cultural aspects of the language. He is a stickler for pronunciation which makes me much more confident in my accent. I cannot believe how quickly I am moving along. He is an outstanding language teacher and I am really glad I found him on Thumbtack!

Baptiste is a pleasure to work and his methods are great for any beginner to easily learn and understand the french language. I would highly recommend him to anyone that would like to learn french.

Baptiste and I really connected. We're more than just a tutor and a student, we became friends. He still teaches me a lot though, and he knows how to be both a tutor and a friend. So many tutors are SO dry and boring but Baptiste is not. Before working with Baptiste I worked with 3 other tutors, and he is the first one that actually helped me improve my French, because I can actually stay awake when he's talking. What I learned when I started with him was that everyone learns differently, and you really need to know yourself and how you study to learn efficiently. He helps me with things in a way that I understand them and gives me shortcuts. I would definitely recommend Baptiste to anyone who wants to improve their French.

Beyond language capabilities, Baptiste is very smart and knowledgeable about many things which makes him a great tutor because you can explore many ideas with Baptiste in French. Best tutor I've had. Ever.
