PHd Intl. was started in 2008 by its principal, Peter Harrison who - throughout his career first as a project manager in luxury hotel development and then as a producer of major events throughout Europe and the USA – was always involved in “how things look” and, as importantly, “budgeting and getting them done on time and within budget”. Our services include interior design, home staging and project management. As the world economy changes, PHd Intl believes that home design will be less about “show for the sake of show” and conspicuous consumption , but instead will become more focused on creating a natural, livable, nurturing and “politically correct” environment – regardless of personal income. Our style is eminently suited to this new dynamic. We are a hands-on, extremely service-oriented design and project management tool in one with the ability to design and execute unique living environments. As a small firm offering individuals, realtors and developers tailor-made solutions to their design projects, we are committed to excellent client relations and do not take on so much work that precludes us from our commitment to that service. Our design aesthetic is simple, homogeneous, setting-appropriate, natural, inviting and timeless – whether applied to a newly constructed Hamptons luxury estate or a unique renovation of a traditional Moorish farmhouse on the Mediterranean in Southern Spain or chic apartment in Manhattan.
