Introduction: My name is Zhi Sun, I started my professional training career at Equinox Midtown, and worked hard to become a high end tier trainer. I had the opportunity to work with clients of varying levels of fitness. I always ask my current and new clients: what is your WHY? Why are you looking for a trainer now? What are your short and long terms goals? My goal as a fitness trainer is to help my clients feel strong, move well, look good, and be the best version of themselves in a positive, healthy, and realistic lifestyle. My ideal client(s) are those with goal(s), a positive attitude, and willingness to work. That’s all. But, no matter what, these are the six pillars, I strongly believe in: -You need a training plan -Training should be fun and safe -Consistency and adherence is important -Working on fundamental exercises will lead to real progress -Giving effort in every one of our session -Connecting and be able to openly communicate during the session If you believe I am a great match with you or your significant other, or friends, please contact me. Zhi is absolutely incredible!!! I’ve worked with Zhi for ~4 months now (2X per week) and training is my favorite part of the week. He’s helped me build lean muscle incredibly quickly, and I feel great! I’ve seen improvement across the board in my posture, strength, mobility, and stamina. I always learn something in my sessions and since working with Zhi I’ve learned multiple new stretches, strength exercises, and ways to target specific muscles. He has so much knowledge, great certifications, and no ego. Zhi is great at pushing me out of my comfort zone, and encouraging me to make consistent small improvements. He is professional, smart, punctual, and has taken my fitness to the next level. I feel so lucky to work with such a supportive trainer and even 1 session with Zhi will change how you see fitness. If you have personal fitness goals, Zhi is the trainer to get you there!

Zhi has been great to work with. I was a total novice and was nervous about getting a personal trainer, but he quickly made me feel comfortable and designed a plan that pushed me without completely overwhelming me. Highly recommend for any newbie that's always thought about taking the leap!

Zhi is a great trainer and super punctual. I have trained with him for 12sessions so far and already see a huge difference in my posture and energy levels. I feel more motivated to stay healthy. I am looking forward to more sessions with Zhi and reaching my fitness goals!

I have been working with Zhi for couple of months and love how I am feeling. I have worked with personal trainers but never have received so much insight on how to properly build strength. Worth every penny!

I enjoyed working out with Zhi. He is clearly extremely knowledgeable about fitness and is good at answering any questions you may have. I was very impressed at his ability to notice my specific weaknesses. He also showed me great workouts to strengthen these areas. After our workouts, I was sore for days - a good workout in my book! Not sure why, but he ghosted me when we still had a session to go, but I assume something came up. While a bit unprofessional, the three other sessions I had, he showed up on time and trained me for a ~40-50 minute session. If you are looking for a personal trainer to train you for a couple sessions and help you identify your body’s weaknesses, Zhi is a helpful personal trainer and nice guy.

    my training rates: For in Person and your home gym apartment: 1 session is $100 per session 12 session is $95 per session 24 session is $85 per session In person training at a private studio in Manhattan: 1 session $100 plus additional $20 rental studio fee 10 session $ 95 plus additional $20 rental studio fee 20 session $90 plus additional $20 rental studio fee In person training at private studio in Astoria: 1 session $100 plus $10 additional $10 rental fee 10 session $90 plus additional $10 rental fee 2o session is $85 plus additional $10 rental fee

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    First session: I assess each client’s individual needs, consideration, strength and weakness. From there, we create a plan/program that will attack your fitness goals. I always encourage and reinforce positivity to my clients, because everything is achievable as along as you put in the time and effort, but, having honest conversation is important as well with all my clients. Because, training is a two way street, you also need to put in the time and effort on your own
