• What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

  We provide 1hr and half hr walks to regular and occasional customers. Our dog walking rates are as follows: Reg­u­lar dog walks(Mon­day through Fri­day, between 10AM-6PM) – $25/hour – $15/half hour Indi­vid­ual, occa­sional, week­end and off sched­ule dog walks – $30/hour – $20/half hour Fed­eral Hol­i­days dog walks (New Years, Memo­r­ial Day, Inde­pen­dence Day, Labor Day, Thanks­giv­ing, Christ­mas Day) – extra $10/walk The rates for each addi­tional dog in the house­hold are $10 off.

• How did you get started doing this type of work?

  I grew up in a family that loved dogs and we've always had at least 2 around us. When I went to college I got my very own puppy German Shepherd, Rex, so I've decided to train him. We started training with a former police-dog trainer. As he has just opened up business for civilians, he needed assistants and because he thought I was very good, he made me his apprentice. That's how I started training dogs for obedience and Schutzhund competitions. When I moved to NY in 2002, I just naturally started doing what I knew best and it has been a beautiful ride!

• What types of customers have you worked with?

  Most of our clients are regular dog walking customers. We walk their dogs at least 5 times per week. 95% of our customers also board their dogs with us. Whenever they go away, their dog comes at our house where she is treated like a member of our family: she sleeps with us, joins us on long walks, goes to the park or on any excursions we take. The dog knows and loves us making her stay with us a pleasure! Crates?! We don't know the meaning of that word. 30% percent of our clients train their dogs with us as well. We wish more were interested in training their dogs professionally but, nonetheless, we still help in all our dogs' education.
