- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I teach piano and music in a way that follows how one naturally learns their native language: listening, imitation, playing by ear, improvising, basic composition, before reading and writing. I have students spend 6 mo to a year playing by ear before moving on to reading (depending on the student's age and level). Technique is taught from day one, beginning with basics and then moving into more advanced technique.

-Masters of Music degree in piano performance from Brigham Young University, studying with Dr. Irene Peery-Fox -MTNA certified -2 years Kodaly training -Developed curriculum for over 250 students (grades 1-6) as a music specialist at Carden Memorial School -Taught piano and ear-training classes at Brigham Young University -4 years experience working in public and private schools (ages 4-14) -10+ years experience teaching piano and music through my studio -performed in various cities in Utah; Pilsen, Czech Republic; Paris, France; and here in New York City
