FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing: $80 / 60 min. $65 / 45 min. $40 / 30 min. Price includes full time of lesson and travel. I will travel to you if you have an instrument or you may come to my studio in Washington Heights for lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I like to chat on the phone with you about your reasons for wanting to take lessons, your goals, and your past experience with music. I then decide how to proceed with the first lesson in order to best fit your needs, level, and goals. During the first lesson I will get a feel for where you are at and what you need to work on and determine the best way to proceed. I pride myself in tailoring my lessons to each specific student and helping you achieve exactly what you want in your lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been training in piano since I was 7 years old, and teaching since I was in my teens. I passed all ten levels of the Oregon Music Teacher's Association Syllabus Training in Piano. I graduated with my BFA in Musical Theater from Syracuse University. While in University I spent a great deal of time playing, accompanying, coaching, and music directing. I still currently work as a performer, musician, coach, accompanist, and music director.
