Matthew Chiasson

Hello Potential Student! My name is Matt and I am a professional freelance musician; graduate of Manhattan School of Music. I specialize at woodwind instruments (saxophones, flutes, clarinets), but I am also an accomplished piano player, composer, arranger, and band leader. I have a wealth of experience and knowledge and I am eager to pass it on to anyone looking to dive into the beautiful world of music. I take pride in offering a unique approach for each student depending on your interest and availability (for both lessons and to practice at home). Whether you are looking to show your child the discipline of scheduled practice, or trying to pick up a new hobby, I understand each students goals and adjust my teaching accordingly. From playing jazz like Charlie Parker to rocking out like Clarence Clemons and beyond, I have played every genre under the sun and as an arranger and band leader have a wider understanding than most about what it is to be a complete musician. We real musicians are not great at selling ourselves because we spent so much time practicing as kids :) I hope I might be able to inspire you to look deep and find your musical talent!
