Matthew is an incredibly gifted musician whose passion and dedication have been a great source of inspiration for me.
As a professional instructor, he is very patience, supportive and motivating during classes and throughout the entire learning journey. Personally he’s also very warm and caring. :)
It was truly enjoyable working with him, I would heartily recommend him to anyone who wants to advance their piano or vocal skills.

Matthew has been teaching my 11-year old son to play piano for a few months now. He’s been nothing but pleasure to work with. He is passionate about what he does and inspires my son to be give his best effort. He can strike the right balance to make the lessons fun, but also keep them challenging. Matthew is a great teacher, both a real professional and a very nice guy. I couldn't be happier.
I'm an adult piano student and teacher, and I have been working with Matthew for about 1½ years so far. He's very open to my ideas and quite sensitive to my musical wants and goals.
My own schedule is hectic, and he understands and works with this, while also holding me accountable enough so that I prioritize my own playing and don't back-slip too much. His practicing suggestions have helped me immensely.
Matthew is a great well of knowledge. It is clear to me that his thoughts on technique, musicality, and practice stem from a breadth of experience and a deep lineage of teachers. I feel fortunate that my teacher has such resources to ponder and draw from.
Matthew is always excellent at helping me find a balanced repertoire that challenges me in a variety of manners. Listening to me play, he is very honest with both criticism and praise, which is so important to me.

I have to admit I was really hesitant about starting piano lessons as I had no experience playing music - would it just be a waste of money and time? Wow, if you’re like me, SIGN UP WITH MATTHEW. I cannot believe the progress I have made. He is so supportive and encouraging and lays out a perfect plan for my growth that is clear, challenging, and fun all at the same time. He makes me feel just as important as his other students that have been playing for years! In less than a year he has me feeling like a real musician - I even performed a short Mozart piece for my family when I went home for the holidays! It’s incredible to actually enjoy playing the piano instead of just listening, and I have Matthew’s expertise to thank for that!
