FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Photography is such a creative field. However, as a professional, one can get caught up in a routine. I usually take a class at the School of Visual Arts or the International Center of Photography every now and then to remind myself to push boundaries and try new things constantly.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've had clients come in with a very clear idea of what they want and my job is to make it happen. I also have a lot of clients who know they want nice pictures, but are unsure about the details. I can help as little or as much as a client needs in creating a vision, finding a location if it is an outdoor shoot, hiring models/make-up artists/hairstylists/wardrobe stylists if needed, and Photoshop editing.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's very important to find someone who you connect with. Look through the portfolios, find photographers whose work you love and contact them to see if they understand what it is that you need. It also really helps to send photographers pictures that you really like and hope to recreate for your shoot.
