I'm very approachable, relaxed, and informal (when the occasion calls for it). I ensure that my subjects are relaxed in front of the camera in order to get the most natural reactions. I build rapport as we go, and the pre-shoot (where I get to know you and your interests) is just as important as the final results.
Taking a photo of someone is a very personal thing. You're being allowed to share in that person's or those people's humanity. Every moment can be special, and photography helps ingrain these memories in our lives.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Martim! He knows exactly how to produce high quality professional photos - he has technical know how (i.e. lighting, framing, etc.), artistic vision and the patience to coach us step by step through the shoot. Additionally, Martim went above and beyond by meeting me early to orchestrate a surprise wedding proposal and was able to capture the special moment excellently and covertly.
Martim is professional and made the process completely painless. He does what he says. He showed up on time. Produced fantastic results and edited our photos in a jiffy. We could not be more happy with the final product and will definitely be hiring Martim again and recommending him to all our friends and family.

I visited New York in early November 2016, with my young family. As I am not a very keen photographer I wanted a photographer to capture our moments in New York City. Martim exceeded our expectations from the first moment, he immediately put us all at ease. He was able to find good places for us to take pictures and he has an excellent knowledge and passion of photography, he changed his lenses for the different scenery backgrounds very quickly and efficiently.
After the shoot Martim provided an index card with an email of all the photographs from which he edited a select few. All images were provided.
Thank you Martim, I have so many amazing photographs, I just need to make my photobook now.

We booked Martim for a 2-hour family photo shoot in Central Park. He was super friendly and worked with our rambunctious almost-3 year old to get some amazing photos. Definitely recommend. (The photos attached here are much lower quality than he sent! I just lifted them from instagram.)

Martim is friendly, easy to work with, professional and responsive. Worked with him on a book launch event and he took a variety of photos to meet my requests (posed portraits, artistic book shots, audience, candids, closeups).
