I have never seen a property management company like this one, and I have lived all around nyc. Everyone- from the ladies who pick up the phones, to the property managers, to the owners Rick and Shpresa who make it a point to be personable and get to know every tenant- is so kind and helpful every single time I call or email them. The property manager for my building, Nela, and the super, Drew, are incredible! I've never seen work ethic like either of them. Day or night they are willing to help me, all while being incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. They respond quickly and always help me get to the root of the problem. I would never move to another building that wasn't managed by R.E.M. again. They've made that much of an impact on me. Growing up in NYC, I thought that slumlords and inefficient property management companies were just a given. I had no idea there was a company out there like this that actually genuinely cares about everybody they come into contact with. On top of all this- their office is beautiful. I usually pay my rent online but during the Christmas season I make it a point to go down there and pay in person so I can see their beautiful decorations and Shpresa's beautiful smile.

What an amazing company. I was living in a building managed by a company that was awful. We had rats and insects all the time and nobody gave a damn to fix it. I've been living in REM's building now for a month and ive never seen anything like it. I'm from LA originally and even there the managements are trash. I hope if I ever have to move back I can take REM with me.

I have literally endless good things to say about this company. I grew up in upstate New York and when moving to the city for the first time, I took a chance and contacted this company to find an apartment, based on their great reviews. Wow what a great move on my part. I always heard horror stories about the "scary big apple" "slumlords" and how "all management companies are scammers". I am so happy that I was able to disprove those theories due to my experience with this management company. I was so nervous moving here for the first time, but wow everything about this company made me feel so comfortable. My building is absolutely beautiful. We have an amazing superintendent named Drew, amazing manager named Shpresa (which ironically enough there are two of in the company, both equally amazing), and the president Rick. Wow! I've never met an owner of a company, especially one as respected and known as R.E.M., be so humble and kind. He takes the time out to get to know- and remember- every single one of his tenants. I have never felt so appreciated and cared about from any company, let alone a property management company. All the horror stories I've heard about NYC and the management have fortunately been disproven. I will only live in buildings they manage from now on.

I am very happy at my building on East 84th st in NY. The super Tom and his Dad Nick work very hard to keep the building clean. I always show any new guests I have where the trash goes because it is always so clean!! I appreciate their hard work in everything for all of us tenants.

We have been tenants for nearly two years in a flat/building managed by this company. Everything was well maintained, the staff was always nice and responsive, professional and easy to communicate with. Their website offers convenient online rent payment options etc. Would definitely use them again, as tenant or as landlord.
