- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Customary Rates Individual Psychotherapy 50 min./$200 Couple's Therapy 90 min./$275 Group Therapy 90 min./$70 Hypnotherapy 50 min./$215 Workshops 6 weeks/$700 Supervision 60 min. / $215 I offer a nominal sliding scale for those who qualify. Weekly or every other week is a common arrangement. If warranted twice/week sessions can be scheduled. Psychotherapy sessions are typically 50 minutes in duration. There are times when circumstances could warrant us scheduling a 90 minute session. If your health insurance includes "Out of Network" outpatient mental health benefits, this provision usually provides coverage for my services. This means you are responsible for payment at the time of service and I will provide you with an itemized statement at the end of the month, which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I do not accept managed care.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An initial Consultation, in which I take a full history, is a pre-requisite to determining if we will pursue working together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Rev. Sheri Heller, LCSW is a New York State licensed clinical social worker, addiction specialist, Ericksonian hypnotist, and interfaith minister, and is a seasoned psychodynamic therapist presenting with 30 years clinical and supervisory experience in the addiction and mental health fields. Sheri holds degrees and certifications from Hunter College, New York University, The N.Y. Milton H. Erickson Society for Psychotherapy and Hypnosis, and OneSpirit Interfaith Seminary.
