I love my work and love helping students make great growth. I respect that clients are trusting me to help their children and do my best to exceed expectations. I have over 10 years of experience in the classroom, tutoring, and leading small groups. My philosophy is that each child has the best opportunity to learn when they feel confident, they are in an environment that suits them, and they’re engaging in materials they find interesting. I love to praise students and celebrate their accomplishments. I will provide materials that are instructionally appropriate and not too easy or too frustrating for students. As a teacher, there is never a dull moment. Every situation is unique and presents its own set of challenges. I enjoy the process of helping students learn and become all they can be. Some of my accomplishments: • Created a fun engaging learning experience that was individualized to meet the child’s strengths and weaknesses. • After working with a child for only a year and a half, she improved both her reading and math skills three grade levels, 6th and 5th respectively. • Provide one-on-one individualized instruction for students, create and organize curriculum. • I’ve helped 4 students pass and become placed in the Gifted and Talented Programs. • Taught 6 students that were severely below grade level and have brought them up to above the standard. • Instruct a classroom of 10+ students with varying levels of academic and behavioral support
