FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degree from Juilliard and have taught workshops and masterclasses to students of all ages all around the world. I am also on faculty at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center Jazz for Teens program where I teach saxophone, music theory, and jazz ensembles.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Music is my passion and it is my life. I started from a young age and quickly caught the music bug and never looked back. I like helping students discover their own passion like I did and helping to nurture what's within them already. When I first started teaching I was a student at Juilliard. While I was at Juilliard I gained experience traveling all over the world and teaching students from all walks of life. The one thing that always remained the same throughout all the experiences with these different students was the language of music and its ability to inspire, excite, communicate, and heal. That's what I love about music and is why I am passionate about sharing it with others.
