Jason was very polite the the work he did was excellent and the price was reasonable, Jason showed up on time he worked Long hours, left house clean. He let us know when we could move appliance back into kitchen. Told us he will be back to seal tile and install trim. I would not hesitate to recommend him to a friend or have do other work that I'm not capable of doing. And. Before hiring him I didn't know him at all. He asked for 20% then said he didn't need it I gave it to him after first day and offered more he refused it. Great job jason
I needed a window AC installed with a bracket and Varian was quick, on time, and did a great job, even adding some insulation to the install.
Jamel put together a 7x7 Rubbermaid shed. He had to build it in a really tight spot. We was not fazed by it. He completed the job in a timely manner and was flexible to work with my schedule. He is also a super nice guy. I will be recommending him to my friends.
Excellent work - did a 65' tv mount - looked great! Came right on the dot. Was friendly and extremely professional. Did some additional wiring work without charging anything extra. Would highly recommend.
Juan was very professional, on time, and fast in his work! We had him install a heavy mirror, a large painting, and a heavy and large floor mirror. We actually had the last mirror added to his scope last minute and he was very accommodating. Would highly recommend Juan to others and will definitely use Juana services for other home improvement projects!
We needed a plumbing repair late Sunday afternoon at my parents home (60 year old house with original copper plumbing). They had found water on the floor of their finished basement. It was not gushing, but a steady drip. We shut off the water to the house. Matt responded quickly through Thumbtack, and was at the house within a couple hours. It was a cracked fitting, which he repaired. Price was reasonable, he was professional and we will use him again. He also called the next day for follow-up.
PROJECT: Remove and install an exterior door. Darin came to my home a few months ago to evaluate a project I listed on Thumbtack. He provided a quote in writing within hours of meeting us. He was one of a few contractors that presented a written contract that detailed the work he proposed. He arrived at each of our three meetings on time. He completed the job tasked efficiently and left the work space clean and clear. His work was excellent!!! My husband and I would hire HBR again...in a heartbeat!
I have had the Smart Improvement team complete two phases of work on my Manhattan apartment. I found them to be well organized, competent and able to solve problems along the way. They completed a wide range or work from tiling, closet & cabinet assembly and installation, plumbing, electrical and trim work. All of the team members had a terrific attitude which is a critical component to managing and completing the project. We actually added work to the project as we moved the project along on a timely basis and wanted to make as many improvements as possible. They will be getting additional work from me as we have a good relationship and feel most comfortable with their team
Rick was great. We needed cabinets installed on the wall and he was the right man for the job. Very communicative - glad we booked!
My experience with contractors, including this company, is that you have to have patience. When a job has multiple areas of concentration (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.), there may be different people doing each service; which means that everything is dependent upon each person doing their service in a timely manner, otherwise possible delays. Also, most contractors have multiple job sites where their people are rotated where needed. Since no one can predict a problem will occur, this also causes delays in getting a project completed. All of this is the nature of the job. As I mentioned before, try to have patience. Renovation projects can be frustrating and sometimes upsetting; but if everything is done correctly with minimal errors, the most important thing is that you are happy with the skills provided and the quality of the work completed.
I hired Joe and his team to install baseboard molding and I was under a time crunch. They sent me the insurance docs within an hour after he left my apartment for my coop board and assured me he would complete the work within two days. He kept his word and delivered on craftsmanship. The baseboard molding came out great. We also had him hide the cable lines behind the baseboard molding which was something his foreman recommended. What a great idea! Thanks for your help Joe!
Brian was in every way, a true professional. My initial job was to refinish a small rosewood mid century table. Which he completed perfectly. He also repaired a lighting fixture in the bathroom, purchasing new bulbs and switches. He went above and beyond, I was truly impressed. I would not hesitate to recommend Brian to anyone.
Fantastic job. It was a complicated light installation and Ndue had a creative solution that worked out perfectly. He bought the necessary parts and showed up right on time. Completed the job quickly and efficiently. He repainted the ceiling, cleaned up, and was terrific to work with. Very reasonable price too. I will definitely call him with any future electrical needs!
It is my pleasure to recommend the excellent work of Rick Doggett who was the general contractor for a remodeling project of my apartment in Jersey City. From the initial interaction and proposal phase through construction and the timely completion of the job, Rick and his crew performed at the highest level of professionalism, work ethics, and dedication. The work involved a complete re-structure of the internal floor plan, moving walls, installing new fixtures, hardwood floor and carpet, electrical, plumbing, and painting, while communicating with an owner who was not on location. I would, with no hesitation, engage Rick in any future construction or remodeling that will come-up. Thank you Rick and crew for a wonderful job.
Scott and his crew painted an outdoor shed and a front porch as well as restaining decking. The job was done quickly and the job site was left clean at the end. I would recommend and use Scott again
Chris came on time to our apartment and was fantastic. He was able to convert a few three way switches to single poles and install smart switches in the places I asked. Will definitely go back to Chris for any of our electrical needs. Thanks again!
We hired KI Renovations for a tiling project in our basement. It was not a straightforward job as the tiling only needed to be replaced around the perimeter after a french drain installation. KI Renovations did a great job overall, providing good value and finishing in only 1 1/2 days. Klarens and his team were professional and nice to work with. We would definitely hire them again.
Experienced and stayed late to fix electrical issues to complete the project on time.
I can't recommend Dan enough. I recently moved to my first home in Brooklyn with outdoor space and wanted help getting a garden up and running on my patio. After coming by for a consultation, Dan came back with plants, soil, and tools and taught me how to plant and care for everything. He also set up an irrigation system for the new plants and helped me install outdoor lighting. The patio and garden look fantastic thanks to Dan's help. I will definitely work with him again!
Rusty was great to work with. We hired him to install a CB2 light fixture in to our baby's nursery -- he got the job done quickly and it looks great. I would definitely hire him again. Thanks, Rusty!
I had new shower tiles and a shower door installed. The work was amazing. Also, I had a water stained door molding repaired. I would definitely use NYHR again for any future projects.
