She put together the most fun rib cook-off competition, and it was clear from the start (and I mean the second invites went out, not just when the event started) how much thought and care went into every detail. From the creative theme (all the teams had custom aprons!) to the little touches that made the day run so smoothly (thinking through the flow of people getting sides, then their ribs, then voting), she made it feel effortless, even though we all know how much work it took behind the scenes. What stood out most was how she went beyond just organizing a the cooking competition. That in itself was a feat, with multiple grills, voting systems - the whole nine yards. Madeline found ways to bring people together, like incorporating other activities to keep people involved. That included line dancing, which had everyone laughing and joining in, and setting up corn hole where we continued to see just how competitive everyone was! Even with a million moving parts, dozens of people, and a true ALL DAY event, Madeline made everyone feel at home, involved, and kept the energy high. That’s Madeline’s magic as a planner. She doesn’t just create an event, she creates true joy.
