Introduction: Hey there, I’m Gabriel. I am NOT a classical singing teacher, I teach contemporary singing and I specialize in helping singers find and hone their unique voice. I am not about gimmicks, big tricks or false promises, but I can certainly guide you into singing with minimal strain, developing vocal power, expand your range and drastically improve your singing as a whole. I think of the voice like the body; the more precisely you exercise (vocalize), the stronger (more powerful), more flexible (more range) and more fit (better tone) you get. One of the best perks is that once you get vocally fit, you will be a lot more confident. That means you will be way less self-conscious when singing for your audience. It’s exactly like when you are physically fit, you just feel much better about going out there and flaunting your gifts. I have a BFA in Theater Arts with a special emphasis in contemporary singing styles (pop, rock, R&B, gospel, jazz, musical theater, country, metal, etc.) I work with adults and teenagers over 14 with a good attention span and who are highly motivated. Let’s get you fit and comfortable getting vocally naked for the world to hear you share your voice with pride!

As an introvert, I never thought I would be taking singing lessons.. I thought my inherent singing expression as an artistic outlet would be confined to the safety within the walls of my car, shower, and whimsical karaoke.. But my best friend surprised me with this experience for my birthday, and I'm incredibly grateful for that nudge outside of my comfort zone. It has proven to be just that- an enlightening experience of great but gentle growth, (minus the growing pains) which is altogether reassuring and life changing. She knows I'm finicky about who I let into my space, so she interviewed 3 people before she found the glistening gem that is Gabriel. I wish his teaching model could be emulated for all subjects..! Gabriel's ability to simplify what I, like so many others, over complicate is truly a skill in and of itself. He broke it down in a way that made it feel easy and fun. Initially intimidated, I found his approach to be disarming, his communication to be clear, relatable, empathic, and anchored in his demonstrable understanding. He meets you where You're at, and guides you from there as a true facilitator, helping you to hone your capabilities your self. I am not just pleased with the services provided, I am honored to have had his time as a remarkable person.

Singing Lessons

You can’t ask for someone better!!! Words could not express how much this man has helped me! Now I’ve been singing all my life, and i never really knew I have been singing incorrectly this whole time, like I’ve been pushing too hard to reach certain notes and that put a lot of strain on my voice. Also I’ve discovered that I have a clarity issue. Apparently I am a very tense person, always stressing, always doing more than I can handle and I have not been taking care of myself or voice for that matter. I’ve learned that there are different ways, not styles, of singing. Like I have problems switching from higher notes to lower notes by not letting go. It’s hard to explain. But I feel it. Then I end up falling off key. But yea... now since I’ve been seeing him, listening to my recordings in the studio, I hear that you can hear me clearer. My tone is purer, as if I sing with ease. And you can hear everything I say... ooo progress!!! And like I’m trying to figure out how to breathe while I’m singing without making a sound. See me, i never had a lesson. I mean I’ve sang in a church choir and stuff but I think I learned how to sing by just mocking other singers. And I’ve never was able to find my own voice. Like when I sang people’s songs I would sing it like how they did. Until I started writing my own music, I started to find myself. But yea back to this guy... This guy knows what he’s doing. I trust him cuz he has shown me that with these vocal exercises, he has helped me find myself, find my voice, did I mention that it’s very therapeutic. Yea he be my therapist sometimes. Lol. But he is very warming. Very professional. Only you can change you but he can give you some tips and tricks on how to make you a master of your voice! I’m trying to be an artist. And when he asked me how I found him I gave him this bullsh*t that I saw his reviews. I lied. He just was the first to answer my call and when I met him the first day I knew he was it. So don’t waste another minute reading another review. Just book one session and see for yourself. Best of luck! Btw... u r on the right track cuz u hear reading this, looking for answers. You may be great already but why not find if there are any weaknesses, or u just curious to make you better or learn something new just to do it. Like how exercise makes your body better, vocal exercising makes your singing better. I’m still learning, but still after every session I learn something new, I am shocked by what I can do, I’m at ease, guyssss seriously it’s therapy. Gabriel, you got my vote!!! -Crystina Ventura

Singing Lessons

The first lesson was just as informational as interactive. Broke down topics in a unique and relatable way. Very aware when it comes to finding the small nuances that you may have never been aware of. I felt twice as comfortable singing after just the first lesson. Valuable.

I never expected what he delivers. Amazing teacher! I'm a musician/songwriter who didn't start out as a singer and new something was not quite right. The physical/mind connection in vocalizing.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

30-minute lessons are $60 45-minute lessons are $85 1-hour lessons are $110 Note: I require 24 hours of notice for cancelations.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The first thing I like to do is find out my student’s “Why.” The clearer we both are on *why* you want to train your voice and what your connection, goals and intention with singing are, the easier it is to make progress. Clarity and communication are very important. Then I walk you through some custom diagnostic vocal exercises to assess your strengths and weaknesses and determine what exercises would be best to focus on to take your singing to the next level. I work in a very intuitive, yet methodic way. I also enjoy educating the student on how the voice works, but only as much or as little as they are interested in. The most important aspect of lessons is the actual vocalizing (vocal exercising).

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater and I focused most of my education on voice. I took singing lessons every semester, both in college (the traditional classical curriculum) and out of college (pop, rock, R&B, jazz and contemporary singing). I have studied and continue to study voice with over a dozen renowned contemporary voice teachers, both privately and in group sessions, workshops and master classes. I have vocalized thousands of hours and continue to study and hone my craft on a daily basis. The college degree was just the beginning of my education and training. I never stop learning about the voice and singing.
