Introduction: I am a native speaker of Spanish, and I hold a bachelor's degree in English-Spanish translation as well as a graduate degree in Education. I have over 25 years of experience as a tutor / coach / teacher (primary, secondary, high school and College education). Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Columbia Business School among others. I try to be as flexible as possible with scheduling. I meet with students 7 days a week during mornings, afternoons and evenings. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, I am often able to reschedule a student within this time frame. Late cancellations or no show are charged in full. What I enjoy the most is being around people from all walks of life, developing their confidence and seeing their progress.

I have thoroughly enjoyed by Spanish lessons with Gloria. She is well organised and structured in her approach to teaching which is so helpful especially when you are a beginner and trying to grasp the basics. Each lessons has been uniquely customized to my level and progress. Gloria is extremely patient and finds ways to keep the lessons fun and interesting while at the same time making them challenging enough to enable you to progress. Gloria is an excellent teacher and I cant recommend her enough!

Gloria is a consummate professional with substantive and logical lessons that make learning fun and rewarding. Her materials are well thought out and her attention to detail really shines through. Gloria has been such a great tutor. She has truly been a blessing! Gloria created lessons based on my needs, tailoring each class around what I wanted out of the class. She's patient, encouraging and pleasant to learn from. We formed a nice bond and I always look forward to our lessons. I do have discounts for more than one student or for lessons taken more than once a week.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During the first lesson, assessment is carried out to determine the student's level and learning style. Then, if he/she is happy with the first lesson, I design a customized program and we schedule the lessons.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelors degree in English and Spanish and a graduate degree in education. I have over 25 years teaching experience.
