FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price per hour decreases when taking longer classes. This is, the price per hour in a 2 hour class is cheaper than in a class of one hour and a half or just one hour. Also, the more people in the class the less each one has to pay.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I normally start with an analysis of the needs of my students. From that analysis, we set goals and purposes to learn and speak Spanish and we make a reasonable plan to accomplish these goals. During the learning process, I encourage the students to evaluate their own process and their own knowledge, bringing awareness to the students in order to let them be in charge of their learning process. Also, I value a lot the spontaneity and the creativity over the fear of making mistakes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Master in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign and Second Language from the University of Barcelona and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Columbia University. In theses studies, I obtained a deep understanding about the use of languages in the society among other aspects. Besides this, I like to attend workshops and conferences for Teachers of Spanish in order to be updated and get new ideas from other colleagues.
