FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are generally as follows: 60$ for 30 mins 70$ for 45 mins 80$ for one hour Travel fees will apply, and I will take discounts for students willing to come to my studio! I may offer discounts on virtual lessons as well…I have had adult students take bi-monthly lessons, and I am very flexible to my student’s needs. I have tailored prices to the fact that I am a very experienced teacher and performer and am considered an advanced violin/viola teacher, especially for serious or highly advanced students **unfortunately I am not able to travel to the Upper East Side, the LES or Brooklyn. My work area is focused around the upper west side, midtown, the Bronx, and Harlem.**
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all depends on the student’s level! A typical lesson consists of reviewing scales and exercises and then working on whatever music the student is preparing. I will assign exercises and scales and even pieces according to the students personal weaknesses and goals with the instrument! We work together to find solutions for problems and it is all personalized to how you learn and what interests you the most
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I just graduated from the Professional Performance Diploma program at Manhattan School of Music where I attended on a presidential artistic scholarship. I received my masters in music performance at University of Maryland where I had a full ride scholarship. I also have a performance diploma from Boston University and an Artist’s Diploma from DePaul University where I also received a performance scholarships. I have studied with members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Chicago Symphony. In 2025 I was on tour with a European orchestra for The World of Hans Zimmer - we toured the US and Canada playing for stadiums of thousands almost every night. In terms of teaching, I taught at the prestigious Settlement Music School in Philadelphia, working with advanced viola students, intermediate violin students, and coaching advanced student chamber groups. Before that I taught at several music studios across New Jersey, maintaining a studio of over 30 students at a time, and I taught at the Music Boosters Program at Silver Spring Highschool in Maryland coaching high school viola students on orchestral repertoire. I also was a teacher as the Annapolis Symphony Music Academy in Annapolis Maryland. I began teaching my first students back when I was in high school and it has been a part of my musical life since the beginning, and a huge part of what makes music fun for me - is sharing it with my students!
