My learning experience with Mr. Gao was outstanding. He was very cordial and patient with his observation and offered several suggestions to improve my playing technique. The lesson structure was customized to my individual needs and goals. He was also quick to demonstrate by playing when necessary to further clarify his explanations, which I appreciated. I was very happy with my lesson, and plan to continue. I had high expectations for my lesson with Mr. Gao given his excellent artistic credentials, and my expectations were met and exceeded. I highly recommend Mr. Gao as an excellent violin instructor.

I was looking for a teacher who can teach beginner adult violin and I found a perfect teacher! I learned violin when I was a child so I did have prior exposure but I haven't played it for about 10 years so I didn't know where I stand or where I should start from. Tianyang also checked the condition of my violin (it was still in a playable condition thankfully). After the first lesson he could see exactly where I stand now and where I should start from. He is helping me to learn the right posture again and he's giving tons of tips as well. He is very patient and encouraging. He works well with adults but I am sure he'll be good at teaching children as well. I'm very glad to learn violin from him!

I enjoy the lessons with Tianyang very much. He is professional, patient and humorous. Even though he is young, I could still tell that he is pretty experienced in teaching. He doesn’t only know the techniques in teaching and playing the violin, but also the reasons why to use them. He is always concentrating on details and correcting the important things that I didn’t pay enough attention to. Learning with him, I have been progressing super fast which is beyond my expectation! He also helped me in choosing the violin which is very suitable for me. If you are looking for a violin teacher, no matter what your age is, I highly recommend Tianyang to you!!

I have been taking lessons with Tianyang for a few weeks now and I can say I’m extremely proud of my progress, being someone who has never taken a single music class before. I attribute that to his teachings. He is very thorough making it easy to learn, adjusting to your skill level and pace makes it a comfortable experience. highly professional and well versed in all things violin.
