Sweet Harmony played at my wedding ceremony on 5/31/14. The violinist Jon set the perfect ambiance and controlled the flow of the ceremony well. Thank you so much for help making our day perfect! I would absolutely recommend hiring Sweet Harmony for your wedding services.

My wife and I are extremely happy that we hired Mariko as the solo violinist at our Central Park, NY wedding on 11/16/2014. She is a super talented musician and a very friendly person. All of our interactions with her has been wonderful. Since my wedding was outdoors in Central Park, on a cold and windy day, Mariko was initially concerned that the weather may damage her equipment. But she quickly found a solution for us by offering to rent a violin so she can still play at the wedding. She showed up early to the ceremony location (before we even got there). We asked her to play "Canon in D" along with any songs that she feels would suit the occasion. Needless to say, all the songs she chose were romantic and sounded perfect for our wedding. My wife and I received many compliments from our guest about Mariko. We would definitely recommend Mariko to play at any special events.

Dina has prepared me for a life of professional playing as a violinist. She has not only corrected many technical problems I had, but also helped me musically understand a variety of pieces ranging to Bach Partitas to (most recently) the Shostakovich Violin Concerto in A Minor. I am currently waiting on conservatory decisions, but thanks to her critique, I have received complements from professors at fine institutions including MSM, Mannes, Eastman, Oberlin, and Juilliard- all of whom were eager to know who I studied with. I highly recommend Dina to any student who wants to improve their playing tremendously.

Dina was accommodating to our every wish regarding programming. We sent her some sheet music appropriate to a Jewish wedding ceremony and she played every selection impeccably. She is a fine violinist and a fine person as well. I recommend her most highly.

I reached out to Michael when I needed a violinist for my wedding on the 8/26/16. The previous person I had an agreement with disappeared and I was left trying to find a replacement at the last moment. Michael was very professional during this process and kept constant contact with us. . He took very specific music requests and executed it perfectly on our big day. I would highly recommend Michael for his professionalism and overall musical talent. Haben & Ingris

I'm not a musician myself, but I was blown over by how easy Caroline was to work with and she is clearly a talented violinist--she helped make our wedding really beautiful. Some of my musician friends commented on how technically amazing her playing was, and I'd definitely defer to their thoughts on the music front :). I'd highly recommend Caroline to play at any event where music, professionalism, and quality really matters! Thanks, Caroline!

Rhiannon is AWESOMEEE!!! I've been with her for 5 years and it was the best five years ever. I really wish I was still with her right now. Rhiannon is super nice and extremely funny. She gives really helpful tips and tricks for learning new things. She teaches with a nice and friendly approach. In my opinion her teaching methods are spot on. I don't have any complaints :)))

We hired Tiphanie for our wedding dinner in Paris. She came with a jazz guitarist and delivered a beautiful match to our evening. She sings amazing and knows just the right songs and sound that matched the evening perfectly. She also is very aware on how the night evolves and flexible to adjust where needed. Just magical, that voice and the atmosphere. Thanks Tiphanie for the amazing experience you have given us and our guests on this special evening in Paris.

Jordi has proved expertise and professionalism teaching the violin. He´s always on time, and his lessons are dynamic and entertaining. He excels in encouraging the students to improve in every class. My son has accomplished a lot in quite a short time. We are pleased to having him as our violin professor.

Omer Ashano Music

Omer loves music, the violin, and it shows. His youtube videos are smokin' and had me humming with joy. He puts a spin on the classical instrument in a way I had not known possible before...by playing jazz with it! It's just what a teenage boy needs to experience. My son has been playing since he was 5 years old and I felt that the traditional, classical instructors with their dated attitude just would not cut it at this juncture in his music career. With Omer teaching, I'm confident my latently, hesitant violinist will "produce" his own music with time. He goes away from some lessons whistling the piece. When Omer and my son jam, it's quite exciting. Omer is knowledgeable, modern, in tune with the young student, I believe because he was a young boy once too. He's absolutely what we are looking for in a contemporary instructor. And his jazz concerts are quite inspiring to see too. I hope my raving reviews won't take him away from my student but he's one of the best violinists in New York City presently.

Andrew was my housemate when we were both studying at Berklee College of Music. At that time I was very new to Jazz. As a violinist I struggled on where to start on learning. Andrew really helped and motivated me to practice. He was enthusiastic to teach me and you can clearly tell how passionate he is in music and in teaching people what he knows.

Celine was absolutely wonderful. I hired her to play piano for a recital of very young violinists. She played beautifully and made the kids feel so comfortable. I whole-heartedly recommend her and would love to work with her again in the future.

Excellent violinist. No amateur. Played all of me by John legend and thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran at my wedding. She was early getting to the venue in a snow storm. Did not pressure me about payment. Will definitely use her again for any other events.

        About

I teach violin and piano to all levels - beginners - adults - group classes etc

        About

Learning a violin can be quite daunting! I myself am aware of that very well, and I am more than happy to help you learn and enjoy music! I give private violin lessons to students of all ages/levels - that is from beginners to advanced students looking for extra help auditioning for major music schools/music festivals and competitions. I can also offer tutoring in music theory lessons/ear training, counseling/preparing for auditions and competitions for students. I am bilingual in Korean/English, so I am able to teach in both languages. I also perform (both solo, chamber ensemble, etc) for various events, concerts and recording sessions. My repertoire varies greatly, from classical/early music to contemporary, and pop/Broadway music. I can also play on Baroque Violin as well, if it is needed for church services. I received a BA in Business and BM in Violin Performance from University of Rochester/Eastman School of Music. Currently, I am attending Juilliard for my master's degree.

        About

I play a full on electric Jordan violin that causes heads to turn- it's a violin and a sculpture!

        About

My commitments as a teacher are to have my students play with solid technique, natural and healthy posture, relaxed and tensionless movements, and musical integrity. Lessons are split into three parts: scales, etudes, and solo repertoire and supplemented with music theory knowledge, improvisation, and ear-training activities. For my youngest students, I teach rhythms, note names, and reading music through games and songs. With experience teaching pre-K through the collegiate level and beyond, I teach students of all ages and levels, custom tailoring lessons to their unique goals, and weekly progress on the instrument. As a teacher, I am constantly re-evaluating and improving my own pedagogy as my primary goals are to understand how each student learns best while simultaneously fostering a lifetime love for the violin and classical music. Lauren is a terrific violin instructor and we absolutely love her! My daughter feels relaxed during her lesson and at ease asking for help or clarification on her pieces. My daughter has learned so much from Lauren, from proper technique to note reading to rhythms, which has greatly enhanced her performance. Lauren always uses positive reinforcement during her lessons, and is always willing to try new techniques to make the lesson time even more effective . But, what's most important, is that my daughter always has fun during her lesson. While she may not always be so enthusiastic to practice at home, she never ever complains about going to her lesson with Lauren. She knows that Lauren will always provide her with a great experience. We're lucky to have found her! - Vienna M. I have been taking lessons from Lauren for three years now. I have to say, at first I felt very intimidated by the instrument; being 25 years old at the time believing only children can pick up the instrument and succeed. However, Lauren made the learning process very easy and comfortable. She definitely broke the misconception that adults cannot learn to play well. I hope to continue taking lessons from Lauren for many more years to come and learn as much as I can about the violin. - Jason M. At the age of 54 I decided to purchase a violin and learn to play. I found Lauren Cauley and could not be more pleased with her!! She has taught me so much in my first four weeks. She's patient with me and encourages me when I get discouraged with my playing. She is quick to answer the numerous questions I have. She is an extremely talented musician with a talent for teaching. She pushes me in my weekly assignments and ensures I've mastered one level before we move to the next. Thanks, Lauren! - Mary N.
