We used Priyanca for our wedding events spanning two days. I am usually not the one to write reviews (google me and find none!) but her service was truly exceptional and personal. I researched other photographers who would link me back to their website and after a short email ask me for a crazy deposit?! A brunch with an old friend led me to Priyanca Rao who was very quick to do the first consultation call. She even met us for a coffee to know more about us, our styles and personalities. SOLD! Her USP for me was that I am not wedding no. 582 in her books I am a person who would like to capture a very special day. She is very fun, funny and friendly that made both my husband and me smile so naturally (thanks to the comfortable environment she was created for us). She also managed to become friendly with all our families and guests the difference can be seen in our pictures :) I was very impressed with the shots she took and sent us a lovely package with the copy of the pictures. Definitely will be using her services again maybe when we have a baby :)

I found Priyanca through Thumbtack when looking for someone to take engagement photos in New York, where my fiancee currently lives (I am in California). It was very easy to communicate with her and right from the beginning she wanted to know my thoughts and interests regarding what I was envisioning. On the day, she was very personable from the moment we met and got straight to work to utilize the time and locations that we had chosen. It was our first time doing any type of professional photos, and she made us feel so comfortable and at ease during the shoot. She also had great ideas for poses and locations. I had really wanted a long exposure photo in Times Square and it came out perfect! She delivered the photos within a week and I was happy to see how nice each one of them had turned out - I am going to have trouble picking my favorites! Overall we had a great experience with her (and really bonded through the the cold weather) and would highly recommend her to anyone! Thanks!

Priyanca did such an amazing job with our wedding photos and was so great to work with. I had contacted her through Thumbtack and she quickly responded with her rates and availability. My fiancé and I met up with her in person to discuss the style of photos we were looking for--candid photos that captured special moments as opposed to a lot of posed photography. She arrived at the venue that morning before everyone else and called to check in to see how I was doing. She photographed me as I was getting ready, the first look, the ceremony, cocktails, reception, and couple shots after guests had left. She sent us a sneak peak of the photos a few weeks later and the whole set soon afterward. And then mailed us 3 8x10s of our choosing. Not only did Priyanca capture so many unforgettable, tender, funny, joyous moments between us and all the guests, but she really made creative use of the venue space--of the two floors, staircase, the mirrors, the eclectic art and furniture... the angles, the lighting, the reflections. A true artist. And the most camera-shy amongst us were completely comfortable and natural around her. I couldn't have asked for a better photographer. Everyone who sees the photos can't stop raving about them. I love reliving the day through those photos. They are priceless and we will treasure them forever. Thank you, Priyanca!

I found Priyanca using Thumbtack. While quite a few photographers responded to my request, Priyanca's photos showed the kind of uniqueness I was looking for. I was planning a surprise trip to NYC and proposal for my now-fiance, and explained what I was looking for to Priyanca. Not only was she excited about shooting our photos, she had some great ideas! Since I was coming in from out of town, she even scouted out the location in advance (Rockefeller Center), and spoke with the guards to make sure she'd be able to get a good shot. She was in constant communication with me, leading all the way up to the big moment. She really thought of everything, and our proposal shots turned out wonderfully (despite the fact that it was rain/ snowing that evening). The next day we ventured out for engagement photos. Priyanca shot us at the NYC Public Library, Bryant Park and Central Park. Priyanca's enthusiasm was contageous, and we had the absolute best time. She is very casual and engaging, sweet and funny. She is so easy to work with. Best of all, she knows how to get an amazing shot. We were absolutely thrilled with the caliber of her work, and we will treasure her photos for the rest of our lives. They turned out AMAZING. I cannot give enough positive feedback about Priyanca. Her work speaks for itself (check out her website), but the best part about Priyanca is her amazing spirit and getting to work with her. Anyone thinking of using her will not be disappointed. I rarely give a perfect review to anyone, but Priyanca was perfection.

What types of customers have you worked with?
Weddings, engagement and family portrait photography. Kids photography is also one of my favorites that we enjoy shooting.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for quality of work not quantity of photos. Make sure you get high resolution pictures that you can be enlarged and made into albums. Look for all inclusive packages where digital images are included. Contract are very important to protect both parties. Read your contract carefully and ask questions if you are not sure.
