I highly recommend Berry's Home Improvements Handyman Services, I would refer him to anyone in a minute, I hired Berrys' because our shower faucet was leaking and needed to be repaired. This Handyman is very prompt and very friendly. The work he did turned out perfect.
Very professional, did work quickly, in a nonintrusive manner, and excellent quality. Will definitely be contacting again for future handyman needs.
James is awesome guy. Very prompt, friendly, helpful courteous and a wonderful guy. I love him. He is very knowledgeable. When the job was looking difficult because of the age of Property, James figured out how to solve the problem and even the Chandelier seem to be complicated he studied it and worked out the solution very quickly. I would recommend anyone and everyone to this amazing new friend I made. He is my all time maintenance and handyman. I nearly forget this one, very organized, beat and clean. Thanks to thumbtack again and thank you God for sending James.
Walter is polite and diligent in his work. He is a capable handyman and very easy to work with. Perhaps most importantly, he is able to diagnose a task and create simple solutions. I would recommend.
I needed my wood shutters to be reattached to the house so I came to Thumbtack looking for handyman services. Milton was courteous and responsive in all of his correspondence and got the job done quickly and promptly. It was a pleasure to work with him, and I will definitely call on him again for other projects.
I had some curtains I wanted hung on a really tricky window, thanks to some spiral stairs, that a previous handyman couldn't figure out. Marvin showed up yesterday with all the proper tools and was determined to figure out my problem - which he did! He even fixed a dresser drawer free of charge. I will be calling Marvin again for any handyman things I need, I highly recommend!
My partner and I just moved to NJ from NC and had quite a bit of repairs and upgrades we needed to complete on the new home we purchased. One such upgrade was venting the dryer. This home was built in 1892 so needless to say, the original architectural plan did not include a dryer. The previous owners installed a gas line - but where the gas line had to run to attach to the kitchen stove, made for a really poor location in the basement in regards to venting the dryer. Before Nick came, he let me know a price for a best case scenario, which I appreciated because had he named a price over my budget, it would have given us both the opportunity to cancel the estimate so as not to waste time. Nick arrived on-time for the estimate and at first it was pretty tricky to find a solution for venting the dryer without completely tearing up the ceiling and walls. Nick was persistent in finding though and was able to devise a plan of going through an old nonfunctional window that was hidden and covered. I hired him to complete the dryer venting and also uncap the gas line and install a hose in preparation for the dryer installation. On the day of the project, Nick arrived on time (7:30am on a Saturday) It took him about 2.5 hours to complete everything. He did a fantastic job. One strength I want to highlight is that Nick not only gets the job done, and does it well, but also takes pride in the aesthetics of his work. He could have easily vented the dryer in a way that exposed the pipe all the way along the ceiling and through the window, but instead he figured out a way to fish it under the sheet rock for a cleaner look. He also cleaned his work space completely - which I have found to be rare for contractors in this area. I have had many contractors who were ready to walk out the door without cleaning up their mess and would have done so had I not asked them to clean up before they go. I also want to highlight that I had a sewage pipe issue in the basement prior to his dryer venting project. Nick also does plumbing so I called him at 4pm and he was at my house by 8pm. People who who have hired folks for sewage pipe leaks know that cleaning up the sewage is not part of the job. Nick was willing to clean and sanitize on top of snaking the pipes and clearing them of clogs for a reasonable price. Nick has been great to work with and does great work. I have already hired him to take care of some other projects around the house (installing a shower door, clearing debris in the backyard). Glad we found a go-to handyman for our new home!
Mike (City Handyman) painted 2 rooms in my apartment and did an excellent job. He was professional, on time every day and cared very much about the quality of work he was doing. My apt ended up needed 2 and in some areas 3 coats of paint and Mike did not flinch. He added a day to the job without any additional charge. My wife and I would definitely use City Handyman again for any handy work we need in our apartment.
I hired Darin after getting a rediculas estimate to replace a water heater from another handyman in my house. Darin installed a new water heater at almost half the cost of what the other guy wanted. I will definitely use him again.
Ted is a dependable and trustworthy handyman who has multiple skills including as a re-modeler. I have used Ted for multiple projects both large and small and he has delivered every single time. Ted is honest, diligent, and often has creative and innovative solutions to challenging projects. He has a crew, so when I had a large job, it was done quickly and efficiently. I plan to use him in the future and he is my go to handyman.
Jamie is a great find. Had a bunch of jobs like installing curtains/window shades/hang paintings etc. Jamie did an excellent job. He's super friendly and didn't mind working around 2 toddlers! Definitely recommend him and we will use him as our handyman going forward.
Daniel backed me up when the handyman I initially hired was a no-show. Even though I had already moved out, he was willing to help with repairs based on my instructions, whereas the first hire demanded I be there to show him what I wanted done. He documented everything he did and sent me photos. He even took photos of the receipts he obtained when he went to purchase materials and I paid him exactly what he paid for them, no more. Very professional. I highly recommend Daniel.
Brian was a delight to work with. Although I did not end up using his services for the job originally requested, he was able to take care of some other handyman jobs that needed to get done around the house. I would definitely hire him again in the future.
Hershon was on time and did everything we asked very well. He is really a very nice person as well.
My upstairs neighbor had there hot water heater leak causing damage to my ceiling. Nick repaired and painted. Looks great and did a great job communicating what work was to be done and when.
5 Stars are not enough for this contractor. Eric answered every question Marilyn and I asked during the two intensive remodeling conferences we had prior to hire. He made suggestions, measured, measured again, thought before he answered, and didn't give us a price off the top of his head. We were interested in his approach, his prior experience, his honesty and integrity. After all, if we were giving him permission to work in our home. Eric installed a new high end kitchen that delights my wife every time she opens a cabinet. Pleasing, efficient, well designed and laid out is the finish we received. We got more value than we paid for. Finally found a general contractor who stayed on the job every scheduled day until our work was totally completed. Once we saw Eric's experience in progress, we booked more work-- over 700 feet of new flooring, trim work, utility room to guest bedroom transformation, fan installation, duct work, sheet rocking, taping, painting, handyman type items. I can't say enough good things about Eric and his craftsmanship, honesty, and sincerity of performance. Interview him last. Whatever you pay, i assure you he is worth it and fair. Feel free to call me at 845-492-0261. I am a NYS Licensed Real Estate Broker and will be recommending Eric to my clients when they need a go to contractor with a varied skill set in all phases of remodeling and general contracting. Great handyman! Very professional and efficient. Will hire again for future work.
Tom surely is a knowledgeable young man. He was able to clear my drain that kept clogging, replaced a few valves, and he spotted a leak I didn't even know about. He educated me and gave me tremendous value. New loyal customer!
