Marilyn is the best! As simple as that. First time meeting and I wanted full Halloween make up for my costume: The Bride of Frankenstein…. And she delivered! Nothing short of perfection, and I had SO many compliments at the party I went to… “Your make up is amazing” were most of them! She is so easy to work with and chat to, and I’ll be looking forward to meeting her again for some more “normal “ make up!

Marilyn promptly responded to my request and kindly fitted me into her schedule. She communicated with me throughout the day up until her arrival. Marilyn embodies the rare combo of artistic talent, fun conversationalist, and professionalism in a hair & makeup artist. I had her do my hair & makeup (+ trial) for my wedding and couldn't be more pleased! During the trial she took the time to ensure the hair & makeup is what I wanted (we tried on 3 variations of similar hairstyles). On the wedding day itself she arrived promptly and served as a calming presence even as I was freaking out a bit. While Marilyn really is the whole deal, her eye makeup is truly magical. It lasted 12+ hours during the trial, withstood several rounds of crying during the wedding, and came out great in pictures -- something about the way she blends colors and does mascara/false lashes makes it so worth it to hire her!! My (now) husband loved the boho soft glam look she created for me, so that is also an added bonus ;)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I always want to be reasonable with pricing. I like to give some discounts for any person younger than 14 and/or older than 65. Lashes are always included with my price as long you like them and would want to use them. Travel expenses are also included with the price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want my costumers to trust me so I want them to email me, text me or call me for any questions, same for a new costumer always send me pictures of looks you like and let me know anything you don't like so I will make sure I do a great job on you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to makeup school in New York city and learned so much about not just makeup but skin routine and what are the best products for each type of skin. After getting my certificate and staring getting clients I got better and better so now I can understand perfectly what a client is looking for and help them achieve their desired look. I have also volunteered and fashion shows as a makeup artist so I also know what’s working under pressure and get a great makeup application.
