FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If my students come to me, I charge thirty dollars per hour. If I have to go to them --depending on the distance-- I may charge anywhere from thirty-five to ninety dollars per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask a battery of questions, or request that certain problems be solved to determine from what level I should proceed. This is especially necessary for middle or high school students, many of whom were allowed to pass from grade to grade without having mastered the subjects --and some, without having even learned anything. In the case of these students, rather than help them to understand what they are presently being taught, I first determine where the problem BEGAN, then work from there --even if this means retroceding by two, three, or even four grade levels. In other words, I get to the root of the problem, then proceed step by ministep in a straight line, never advancing to the next step until the previous has been thoroughly mastered.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been studying the abovementioned subjects assiduously since 1975, and have been teaching them full-time for over twenty years. Two decades of experience and a natural gift for teaching makes my methodology the most effective there is.
