- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to chat with a potential client either in person or on the phone/email if thats more convenient for you. I want to know what your personality is, what your preferences are and what makes you comfortable/uncomfortable. I always want to ensure my clients are not only happy with the final product, but also the process it takes to get there :)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Ive always loved photography. When I was in HS, I would chase angry looking clouds like I was a storm chaser, with a cheap 35mm camera.... those photos never came out how I imagined they would though. After I got out of the military, my husband was recalled to active duty after 9/11 and we were stationed in FL. I got a job with a company called Front Page Foto and started doing dock photography and photos for a tourist boat called Boogies Dolphin Cruises. I started doing beach photography for families on my own and it kind of morphed from there. I photographed weddings for a long time, but found that family photography, infants, births and pets were really my favorite! Its humbling to know that my photography is hanging in homes all over the country, that something I did is cherished and looked at often. I think capturing clients actual happiness or sadness or excitement.... thats photography. And its important for me to get your shots just right, so that they ARE something you will cherish for years to come!
