FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've loved computers my entire life. I bought my first computer 20 years ago by saving up my paper route money and its been downhill from there. Decided early on that working with computers was what I wanted to do. I went to school for AutoCAD drafting and working in that field for a number of years but didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Decided to work at a local repair shop and haven't looked back since.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Malware removal and PC tune-ups make up the majority of my work. There is so much bad stuff on the internet that viruses and spyware are almost inevitable. Unlike most technicians I love the challenge of removing a virus and getting you back up and running properly.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that you find someone you can trust. Don't let someone "bully" you into something you're not comfortable with. If there is an issue, ask questions. Keep asking questions until YOU understand what's going on. A good technician will not have an issue explain what work has been done and what may need to be done moving forward.
