FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer requests service through our website, and we respond promptly to schedule an appointment as quickly as possible. Our technician arrives on-site, diagnoses the issue, explains the root cause to the customer, and clearly outlines what needs to be done. The customer is then asked if they would like the repair completed the same day. All pricing is presented upfront before any work begins. Once approved, the repair is completed properly and safely. After the job is finished, the customer receives a detailed receipt including warranty information, photos of the work performed, and a business card. We remain available for any questions or follow-up needs after the service is completed.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
One of the most common and stressful garage door issues is an off-track situation — when the door becomes crooked in the air, rollers come out of the tracks, the tracks bend, and a cable snaps. This usually happens due to worn or rusted cables, improper spring tension, or impact damage to the door. The correct solution is to safely release the system tension, realign or replace the rollers, replace damaged cables, properly adjust the spring tension, lubricate all moving parts, and reset the opener so the door operates smoothly again. Many customers believe they need a full door replacement after seeing an off-track door. At Snap Garage Door, we understand the root cause of the problem and know how to fix it precisely and safely — restoring the door to like-new condition.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice to customers is not to choose a provider based on price alone. A garage door is a heavy and potentially dangerous system, and cheap or inexperienced repairs can lead to bigger damage and safety risks. It’s important to hire a professional who can identify the root cause of the problem, explain clearly what needs to be fixed and what doesn’t, and use quality parts with proper warranty. A good technician won’t rush to recommend a full door replacement if the issue can be repaired safely, accurately, and cost-effectively.
