Jeff has helped us out with a variety of projects in our new kitchen. He helped demo the old kitchen, install and move some electrical, and tiled the backsplash. He can be a little hard to pin down for times with all of the projects he has going on, but he has made it work and followed through on everything so far. We plan to have him help us with a few more projects as well. Looking forward to continuing to work with him!Sep 26, 2019Verified
Shower and Bathtub Installation or Replacement
I had Jeff come out to my home to provide me with an estimate for a full bathroom installation in my basement. He was incredibly detailed and took over an hour and half of his time to listen to my needs, perform measurements and explain different facets of the project and options available to me. He later emailed me a very detailed estimate. While we ultimately chose to go with a different contractor, I would have felt very comfortable going with Jeff for my project.Jun 10, 2015Verified
Deck or Porch Repair
Jeff installed a new patio door for us. The new one wasn't the same size as the old one, so alterations had to be made. The finished product looks fantastic! Jeff installed new trim around the outside, and new molding around the inside. Everything looks great. We were very pleased.Jun 22, 2014Verified
I needed some vinyl siding replaced, a new door hung and new aluminum trim installed. All new materials matched perfectly and were installed flawlessly with great attention to detail. I will definitely refer Thomas Renovations to family and friends.Nov 2, 2013Verified
They do great work and the job started well, but the finish was a disaster. He did not exactly tell us he was finished. Since we owed a balance on work that had been completed we thought he'd contact us about that at which time I would raise the many incomplete tasks like there are half a dozen holes not filled with either an outlet, light, or power service. Just gaping holes. My step ladder is missing, I am not accusing, just stating a fact. Smoke alarms were not installed. All in all, though his work is very good to excellent and he has a great personality, pleasant to be around and most of the project went well. He just stopped coming we felt. If he's traded what we owed for what was yet to be finished we will just live with that, but can not in good faith recommend his service to anyone who is not prepared to ride herd on a short leash. I would likely not rehire this contractor. We waited on posting this review thinking we would give ample opportunity for him to come to make it right.May 29, 2020Verified
- What types of customers have you worked with?We do all types of building and remodeling, so there are not any most common types of jobs to describe. We may do small handyman work one week and then start a major remodeling project such as a room addition, new garage or completely new kitchen or bath.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?If you are just looking for the lowest price then you are doing a disservice to yourself. All companies will supply estimates at different dollar amounts. Some companies have large overheads and sales people they have to compensate. Sometimes there are reasons for low prices. Some people are not good sales people but very good at their craft/service for their respective listing. Its not always about the money. The finished product should always be number one along with customer satisfaction. The money will follow with the quality work.
