Introduction

I believe my work stands out from others because I usually care more about the finished product than the homeowner does. I have always put the work/product on a higher pedestal than the monies which I receive. I believe it reflects the personality of the contractor as well. It's more of an art for me than it is for a way to make a living. Caring more about the work more than the money isn't always the best business ethic though. I still tread on with less frills than others but the knowledge that I built or constructed something that is done properly and looks great and will last longer than most of us will be around.

Jeff remodeled a cottage for me. He was neat and efficient, and offered his best advice while allowing me to make the final decisions in all areas. Jeff is a craftsman who does the job right without cutting corners. He was pleasant and responsive throughout the project. The remodel of the cottage was so adorable, it sold without even going on the market! I would definitely use Jeff on my next project!

Jeff recently completed a bathroom renovation in my lake cottage. The house was built in 1910 and it required Jeff to completely tear out the existing bathroom and do a complete remodel. Jeff did all of the work including the tear out, plumbing, electric, tiling, painting, etc. Jeff focuses on quality and detail which is extremely important especially when doing tile work. He also replaced doors in my home and was able to find solutions to unique door sizes and uneven floors. I would be happy to speak with anyone who is considering hiring Jeff for a project!

Jeff and I were corresponding in June/July 2014 about doing some work for my parents house. I sent Jeff some information about what type of remodel work I was looking for and then he came by the home to take some measurements, so that he could provide an accurate estimate. I wasn't able to be at the home, but was on the phone with Jeff while my brother showed him around the house. Jeff and I chatted after his walk through and he said he would take a few days to provide me with an estimate. I never received another phone call or any communication from Jeff after that point and was pretty disheartened. I didn't remember the option to leave a review until now, but thought it would be good to say something about this.

I hired Jeff to build a gable roof over my upper deck. With the odd shape of my deck that wasn't possible, so he built me a hip roof instead. The roof is beautiful, the ceiling is finished with tongue and groove pine, 8 recessed lights and a ceiling fan. He also replaced many of the floor boards between the upper and lower deck and built a railing around the upper deck. Our deck was 27 yrs. old so there was a lot of settling and things were not built correctly from the previous contractor which he fixed , digging more support posts, leveling and stabilizing the entire frame of the deck. He is very meticulous and detailed in his work and always kept me informed of what needed to be done. I couldn't be happier with the end result, and I have had many compliments. It took a little longer to complete than I anticipated but It was well worth the wait. I would definitely hire again.

What types of customers have you worked with?
We do all types of building and remodeling, so there are not any most common types of jobs to describe. We may do small handyman work one week and then start a major remodeling project such as a room addition, new garage or completely new kitchen or bath.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are just looking for the lowest price then you are doing a disservice to yourself. All companies will supply estimates at different dollar amounts. Some companies have large overheads and sales people they have to compensate. Sometimes there are reasons for low prices. Some people are not good sales people but very good at their craft/service for their respective listing. Its not always about the money. The finished product should always be number one along with customer satisfaction. The money will follow with the quality work.
