FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There is no "standard" really. Some projects don't take very long at all, with few revisions. Some projects are much more in-depth and take days/weeks to complete, with several revision sessions. I calculate what is needed to get the project completed in terms of labor, plus additional expenses (domain purchases, hosting costs, printer costs, etc).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
More than 14 years working in the marketing industry- in many different capacities. It has been very interesting to work in this field during the shift from "old media" to newer inbound and digital forms of marketing. Plus, I work closely with Hubspot and Google to participate in continued learning and various additional certifications that help me keep up with the ever-changing digital marketing landscape.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got my first real job after college working for a marketing firm in NYC- but the client was Jose Cuervo. My job (regional event manager) was to implement and plan on-premise marketing events for Jose Cuervo, and to hire and train a marketing/promotional staff to work at the different events. I loved event marketing. It was then that I decided I wanted to do marketing forever. I built my career in marketing with a lot of hard work. I've worked in radio advertising and marketing. Then I worked for a company who provided digital marketing for services for various municipalities throughout the US. And now I've rolled all that experience into my own business. I've provided digital/online marketing and traditional media marketing, pr, and branding to a variety of different businesses including high-tech companies (optics, manufacturing), financial businesses, retailers, salons/spas, and professional service providers. It's very rewarding.
