First of all, I have to say, that we can not understand the troubles, that Ms. Cynthia had. Mr. Tubiolo was very friendly and helpful, just a great guy, very hard working and responsible! He even came when we did not expect him, it was raining and he worked outside... But here our review: We've had several projects planned with Signature. The old bushes in front of the house were over 40 years old with very thick roots. SCL ripped them out with no problems making sure to not damage anything else. The old and broken walkway was quickly removed, pavers placed very nicely with a slight pitch away from the house so water/rain flows away from the house. New plants were purchased & delivered by SCL, arranged and planted, afterward mulch put all around. The project behind the house was along a fence. An old flowerbed & weeds removed, without damaging the arborvitae trees that stood there for years. Weed-preventing fabric put down and again mulch on top. Both projects were completed in just a couple of days and made our home a shining jewel in our neighborhood. Everybody loved the result. This year we'll hire Signature Custom Landscapes again to move and replant several rosebushes that are as old as the bushes that SCL pulled out at the beginning of the landscaping project. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, we can highly recommend this business!

Dave did a wonderful job removing my old landscaping. I needed the job done soon, and he was able to complete the job within a few days.He and his assistant worked incredibly hard, did a very professional job, and did a nice job cleaning up. I will definitely hire Dave for future landscaping work!

My request was to extend my landscaping from the front to the side of my home. Mr. Tubiolo came by, surveyed the area, and then returned a few days later with a very nice drawing of what he said he would do. I was definitely on board and wrote a check for $700 (the complete job totaled $1,500). I have a very busy work schedule so I am away from home approximately 12 hours during the weekdays. After about a week or so, I called him to find out when he was planning to start, he stated the Friday of that week and said that he had stopped by a couple of days earlier to prune and treat the shrubs from a previous planting in the front of my home. Cool. Friday comes, I get home around 6-6:30pm and all the plants and the black rubber mulch that I requested were in place. He was very tired, so I told him to go home and finish up tomorrow. On Saturday morning, I wrote the final check (and inadvertently wrote it less $100 and we agreed that he would come back one day the following week to get the remainder) and I headed out for some scheduled appointments. I got home around 4pm and I notice (from my porch) that there are sparse areas so I immediately call him to find out if he was planning to come back to fill in those areas with more mulch. He considered the job officially done but said he would stop by and add more mulch if I wanted. I am thinking to myself "are you kidding me?!?" He said that he would go half on purchasing additional mulch and knocked down the remaining balance to $50. But also as part of this conversation he continually kept stating that black rubber mulch was not the right mulch to use, he had no experience with this mulch and felt that cedar mulch would be better. I stated that I was sticking with the black mulch and that there is nothing wrong with the mulch as the landscaping in the front of the house was doing quite well and so the call ended. By the way, at this point I realized that I did not smell the compost that was included in the contract. On Sunday after church, I went out to view the entire landscape and was mortified to find numerous sparse areas and a landscaping job that looked more amateurish rather than professional. I purchased five bags of mulch and did my best (for the time being) to fill in those areas, clean out the gutter tray, and hide some plants that he had cut completely down to nothing. You’ve gotta know that at this point I was seeing RED. I left a message with my financial advisor/company to stop payment on the check immediately and come Monday there were a barrage of text messages going back and forth regarding my dismay and him wanting another chance to fix the job. I had already had it and made up my mind that he need not do anything more. About a day or so later, he came by the house and took all the plants to which I was okay with and fully expected. I took him at his word after seeing his website with absolutely beautiful landscaping jobs, our meeting with the nice drawing of what he had planned to do, and touting his 30 years in the business. I did not do my due diligence so for that; I blame myself. After getting a text message from him that I was the first person in 30 years who did not like his work, I decided to go to his website and the Internet to see what other customers were saying and guess what? I found absolutely no reviews on him or his company.

scam she's done this before undoubtably pays a deposit gets a a great job I told her I would return to finish mulching which was fine with her in a few days which gave her the green light to default on an 800$ balance that is still due . I know nothing in regards to her supposedly missing plants. perhaps she should move to a better nieborhood and stop scamming good hard working contractors . her story is an outrageous lie
