FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is priced from an agreed scope of work, site conditions, material selections, and required trades. We provide detailed, transparent estimates so you can compare the work—not just the bottom line. If priorities or conditions change, we discuss options and document change orders before proceeding. Our goal is durable craftsmanship and strong value without surprise charges.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with an on-site consultation to understand your goals, budget, timeline, and how you use the space. We assess existing conditions, recommend practical design and efficiency improvements, and define the scope. Next, we prepare a detailed estimate and project plan. During construction, we coordinate the trades, protect the home, share regular progress updates, and finish with a walkthrough and punch-list review.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our principals bring more than 80 years of combined experience in construction, project management, property management, restoration, remediation, renovations, and repairs. That background helps us evaluate both finishes and underlying building conditions. Kellets maintains an active New York general contracting license, commercial general liability insurance, and workers' compensation coverage.
