FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Menu pricing as follows, $200.00 ceiling fan installation for a flush mount ceiling fan on standard ceiling height (8ft) with appropriate box. $180.00 on a semi-flush mount 8-12ft ceiling height with appropriate box. (bulk ceiling fan installation is negotiable on price (3 or more)) outdoor fixture replacement, removal of old, installation of new $40/ fixture**based on wall sconces/ exterior garage sconces and pole light fixtures only, not security lighting** interior light fixture replacement, $40/per flush mount fixture (8ft ceiling height) $80/per 3-5 light chandelier (8-12ft ceiling height chain or rod). I use flat-rate pricing, it is a system that allows shops to give fair and consistent electrical work estimates. For example, the flat-rate time to replace a ceiling fan is 1.5 hours from start to finish. I quote this rate to customers. If my electrician completes the job in less time, he effectively earns a higher hourly rate. If my electrician takes longer, he effectively earns less. Either way, you pay the same amount. If the job at hand will drastically exceed the initial flat-rate quoted the customer will be addressed on the matter. In example, a fan swap turns into a repair wire and or box modification/installation, the price will change due to materials and overall repair costs. Troubleshooting will be initial 1 hour at $100, $60/hr after that. ( also can be discussed with customer on allotted hours they want, whether issue is resolved or not) Within 24hr service call $120 first hour, $60/hr after that. Emergency service call $160 first hour, $80/hr after that. I try my best to answer emergency service calls, however after 10:00pm I can not guarantee someone will pick up the phone.
