Vic and his team were terrific. Vic is a very experienced contractor- he is a real problem solver. Basically- he knows what he is doing - he is always willing to take a look at something and to try to figure how to solve it. We had a challenging leak from a deck into our garage and it required some careful investigation and creative solutions. Vic was thoughtful and thorough in his investigation and designed a solution that was both practical and economical. He and his team executed the plan carefully and effectively. They work quickly, clean up well, and go that extra mile. I highly recommend #1 flooring/ contracting- Vic and his team, without reservation.

Vic. Vic. Vic. I had such high hopes for us.
My journey started first with another contractor. After my first contractor failed to complete the job due to a horrible demo and trying to rush through the job without acquiring permits, etc. I had to search for someone new. I was recommended to look on this app. And Vic was the only person on here in the 518 area that did bathroom tile and bathroom remodeling.
As I said earlier, I had high hopes for us. Vic started out very enthusiastic. We discussed the job. He wrote us up a contract. He asked for payments to be split into thirds. And he made time available to start work pretty quickly. Due to the problems with my first contractor I had to hire a plumber and electrician to ensure those parts were done according to code.
Upon completion of their piece of work, Vic was supposed to come back and fix parts of my walls that were not smooth. (see photos) Vic was also supposed to hang up the curtain rod, towel rack, and complete the trim around the bathroom floor.
Now I want to point out, Vic isn’t the craftsman here. He has a crew who are very attentive and polite. And the work done as far as sheet rocking, waterproofing and tiling was very impressive. (See photos.) The problem arose, when Vic asked for the third and final payment for the job. I told him I didn’t have a problem, giving him a postdated check in order to ensure that he would come back and complete the things we had discussed. And Vic agreed saying it wasn’t a problem. I have the texts.
What happened next was, Vic decided to deposit the check and then decided to be non responsive for the next several days. I messaged him several times to make sure that he’d be coming back to complete the work. When he responded several days later, he told me to check my contract because he did not specify the trim, door stop or curtain rod. So I wound up having to figure those out on my own.
I also realized the tiles I used were not were not smooth tiles. He had tried recommending I get new (smooth) tiles, but I was pretty adamant on the look I wanted. As a result, there was a film of grout left all over the tiles. And then was told that I could wipe them down with a sponge. I can’t say the work itself was shoddy. Again, please see the photos. But I will warn that if you want Vic to complete your job, do not pay him his final payment before understanding the job is complete. And make sure everything you want is in the contract.
I didn’t really want to write this review. I had hopes of him doing another bathroom and my kitchen. But I thought people should know.

Vic and his crew are top notch. They are true professionals. Clean , courteous, and efficient. I can’t say enough good about my recent job. Vic and his crew removed 1600 sq ft of popcorn ceilings and primed and painted. Also painted most of my house in seven working days. And he threw in a couple freebies. No doubt he is my go to guy.
